(Server is UP!) Notices On Server Status And Problems

the problem is well known, due to the very long uptimes of nemesis and the many enthousiastic players and very active community alot of actions happen, and each time the database is being updated or changed, logs are kept to keep everything secure and safe, to make sure nobody cheats or hacks :D

 

and today the server's main HDD got full, so logs couldn't be saved and transactions (= changes) wern't saved, like char data etc, new chars etc...

 

currently Sexy[GM] is transfering the current logs to the secondary hard drive to make room on the main hard drive.

 

this progress takes a couple hours due to the fact that there is no more room on the main HDD, so it runs very very slow.

 

once the logs are moved over, server will be back, up and running as it was before.

New characters currently cannot be created, I just verified this, I'll make a ticket of this information as well.

In this case if these things happens then it is because there is no more space at the server place.

When this happens it do not save any information from your logout you did right here and now.

 

Please do not level up, or do any trades, it will not be saved !

Yeah I hope any dupers get banned too: It's not ok, even if it is the servers fault.

 

A recommendation to all players:

1st: Don't expect any progress you've got over the last hour or two to be saved - expect a rollback (if there isn't one I'll be happy but surprised)

 

2nd: Don't dupe :\ It's going to cost you.

the server has been shut down to prevent further losses and secure the server from any damage possible.

 

Depending on the situation and the problems we'll have to decide if we do a roll-back or not, there is a chance we'll need to roll-back due to the people who couldn't resist the power of duping.

 

We're also invesitgating why and how this problem is being caused, please be patient till further notice.

Omg.. i read all the information and thats baaaaaad, i hope u guys can fix it and if any help is needed im C++ specialist u can PM ill be more than glad to help. If this is the same thing that happened once before, our coders probably know what's happening, and it's not too hard to fix, so don't worry too much.

 

 

There MAY be a short roll-back due to people duping a lot of items, but we may not have to. We'll see about that.

im hoping you guys rollbacking to yesterday night or the last time it worked correctly

i lost alot of items and i saw alot of ppl duping lol :S

none of the duping was saved as that is the entire problem.

 

all what happend the past hours hasn't been saved and probably will not be replaced either.

 

only at the initial point of the hdd being full and the first no-save of chars a few dupes appeared, it's not the player's fault that it happend, so we'll resolve these dupes by contacting those players personally and overlook the situation.

 

any other dupes of SB or IE sword or other items wern't ever saved, so it actually never happend...

 

some hours have been played into "the nothing", everything that happend you did for nothing, as it wasn't saved and probably will not be re-applied (like items given back which you gained during the no-saving period).

im not sure how many ppl got affected but

i transfered my mp set and ms18 neck and it was saved from my char , when i log the other the server didnt save anymore so it got lost in the transfer!

 

mayb some ppl did the same when server was still saving and lost/duped more items

My sugestion is : delet itens duped , and also the REAL itens that has been used to dupe. Other way punish then even more if possible.
