Nemesis Xp & Drop Rate.

Umm, well... been thinking lately of the servers I've played etc. Can't forget the "hb est" experience. I mean, it was nearly a perfect serv - not too high xp, not too high droprate, active crew etc. Nemesis however currently lacks of people & there isn't much to be surprised about, considering the fact that nem1 has been resetted & the people who had had the patience and inspiration to grind themselves armor, weapons, ek, form active guilds etc lost everything they had. That practically meant 2 years of time wasted.

Coming back to hb est.. the droprate was higher, the xp was slightly higher. Hb est vol 3. was up for over a year & people had plenty of time to gather items etc for themselves, given the higher droprate. Gotta accept the fact that HB is a dieing game & there aren't too many people up for the 2 year grinding session anymore etc. When nem1 was around, wh's were always full of people etc, there was like 5 times the active people there are now and many of them had been around for quite a while & had managed to spend quite the time to gather what they had. Anyways, why not put nem xp up to like 40x? What would be the downside of that? And erm... why not up the droprate? I read the IG pit removal thing & I just don't get it... People are mad cause there are 2 soies & 1 ie neck or smth after 1 month? What's bad about that? Just go and farm your own. The fact that you didn't get em doesn't mean they should be removed from the server. Seriously - what's so bad about rare items that have been earned fair & square and a wee bit higher exp ratio?

Everyone who had a wee bit patience could get themselves a decent set of armor, a few rares and so on. I'm not going to quit if these changes aren't going to be made, but the game would be A HELL OF A LOT MORE FUN if the changes were to be realized. Anyone else feel the same way? I personally am not going to spend a year or two grinding for a soie from tw's nor leveling 128 or w/e maj points for half a year to get myself a +15 wand.

 

My suggestion would be :

 

40x exp ratio.

A lot higher drop ratio - 1/20 000 tw's drop xb or xr or w/e it was... that's seriously way too low.

 

I could bet a thousand bucks that nem would be A LOT more popular if you went through these minor changes.

Hi, this is hb nem. U like the server full of items and all the shit. The only idea i like its higher exp. The drop rate its perfect. If u put a higher drop rate the server will full of rares and that sux. As i said this is hb nem.

Full of items? That "full of items" was achieved after a year of playtime, and even then to only the ones who had the patience to grind for them. I understand that "this is hb nemesis", however that doesn't mean the founders of the server should go by a path way less popular, when they could actually run a few slight modifications & achieve a server much more popular.

i agree with oil. x40 in nem1 was perfect the server was packed reasons why it was dieing slowly because no admins were active and we were promised updates that took 6months. and for those who aren't actually playing. please do not in-put your opinion on exp and droprate. (if you login 2 hours a week) GTFO. i'll quote farjat on this "a longer life span of the server" it wont last long if players are joining but others are leaving slowly and unoticeable untill shops/wh are empty and everyone else leaves again

 

i think xp is fine for 2nd drops but not first drops

 

 

reminder~~~~~~ this is a private server afterall

yea i think first drop could be upped a little more, but not sooo much and then there shouldnt be a problem.

but anyway, it would make those long hunts even more time worthy, especially for those that cant play most of the day because we actually like have jobs or school ect. ect.

Drop rate should stay low. Thats the whole reason of "hunting"

 

and for those who aren't actually playing. please do not in-put your opinion on exp and droprate. (if you login 2 hours a week) GTFO.

 

Not everyone can play 24/7. And they are free to make an opinion. Its their server too

If u like a higher drop rate, go LMDL or hb SUX i mean LUX. If u want to train hard and give a real value to the items stay here. If u put a higher drop rate the servef will be *censored**d up in less time. So if u are a new player and see, z wand, gbh and other rares u will say fuc*!. Well thats my point of view.

So you actually enjoy hunting for an item you'd like for 2 years and ending up not getting it after all? I don't.

I mean, if people go through a lot of trouble & spend a ton of time for something, they'd deserve it. As farjat said in one topic - an xr/xb dropped 1/20 000 chance from a tw. Now what are the chances of that? This is probably the only one dropped in the next year or so, unless someone else gets REALLY lucky or the serv gets into some serious hacking trouble. I do NOT enjoy levelling for a +15 weapon for half a year or more (as I've got scool, irl hobbies etc) nor grinding for an item for even longer. Are you seriously saying 40x exp ratio would lose the "train hard" factor for giving the game a good playing-experience value? Didn't see you whining back in nemesis1 when the xp actually was 40. As a matter of fact... didn't see anyone whining. Don't get me wrong, I like the server & all... It's just that there are a few minor adjustments that'd make the game A LOT MORE ENJOYABLE.

Didn't mean THAT high... Maby twice the ratio it is now. 1/10 000 drop chance of a rare weap from the strongest npc in the game sounds fair enough to me.

high exp = less spend time in train.

high drop = less spend time in hunt.

 

all that = fast helbreath

fast helbreath = nemesis must be not.

 

Anyway u have asked this on the right way. And u will be answered on the right way. A little more exp i can accept if ppl convince me but drops i will never touch again because we already saw it is working.

things i need to fix from drops for sure: ettin drops. not because more or less, because it is dropping daggers.

Ppl also must note this is a free server, but we like to listen players. The problem is mostly the way the players ask. Ask like we are enemys and we are forced to serve them. We only listen and answer if it is planted on the right way because we are not forced to. We are not going to keep people that do/ask things in a bad way/attitude.

Why not? just because we are not forced to.

Ppl arrasing me is like a radio i can turn off and problem ended. Arrasing a GM is not the way. is just the sortest way out here.

If there is a real problem, this is the space to ask for help, but only on the right way.

Right, a little higher experience rates wouldn't harm much.

 

Drop rates are fine, just fix the bugged drops - which gives me the idea of players writing down their bugged drops.

 

Perhaps you should have someone who looks at the forums a lot and could update a list of bugged drops.

 

Like this:

 

Ettins: Daggers, Wood Shield

Balrogs: Daggers, Watermelon

Slimes: Excaliburs, Capes

 

That's just an example, they don't necessarily drop those.

hmmm... I think if you increase the exp to maybe x30 it will encourage people to play the server because they will make max quixcker, therefore shortening there golden years.
