Hi GMs,

Same problem here: "Client failed to shake hands with the server! Download lastest version and try again."

I am using:

- Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP 3

- .NET Framework 2.0 SP 2

- Client: 5.40.002

- Disabled Windows Firewall and AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2012 (failed too)

Please advise. Thanks!

Do you have multiple networks? (LAN + Wifi? or LAN + VPN or something similiar where you have 2 IP Addresses?)

Hi WhiteFang,

I am using a LAN (192.168.0.0/24) and my PC is connected (cable connection) to a wireless router (integrated cable modem with 4 LAN ports, D-LINK).

I am not using VPN. Do I need to change any configurations if using LAN?

Appreciate your help. Thanks!

Hi WhiteFang,

I have disabled Wifi but still encounter the same problem.

Saw your reply in the other posting, my IP addresses (LAN & WAN) didnt change. I am not using any proxy to browse the web.

Only settings (enabled) in my wiressless router:

- WAN Blocking

- Multicast Enable

- IP Flood Detection

- Firewall Protection

- DHCP

I have disabled those settings but it fails too. These are the same settings when I am running client v5.39.

Please advise. Thanks!

Try to "unblock" the application by doing the next steps:

- Right click the NemesisAutoUpdater.exe

- Left click "Properties"

- Left click the "Unblock" button

- Left click the "OK" button

Properties window looks like this: (if the application is not unblocked)

Some changes were made to the Auto Updater, please run yours again and check if your problem(s) still exist or not.
