Ancient Flameberge Vs. Flamberge +3

Recommended Posts

Ancient is +2, flame +3 is well...+3.

Though I'm arguing with a friend that Flame +3 is better but he thinks that Flame +3 just adds after the dice rolls, while Ancient adds the +2 to the dice and hence should be higher, that doesn't make sense to me...

So for Flame +3, is the +3 just added after the dice is rolled or something, whereas with Anc the +2 makes the flame 2D14?

So would this be correct:

Base - Max Damage

Flame +3 = 2D12+3= 24+3 = 27

Anc Flame = 2D14 = 28

No contest really; flam+3 adds just +3 damage to a flam's normal damage, ancient adds an extra 2 dice to a flams normal damage dice, so a greater probability of dealing high damage to opponents.

And then there's stats, ancient flam can be stated (rep+1,+2, +3 or hp21, hp28 etc). Get the picture? ;)

Ancient wins. The 2 extra dice is better than the +3 dmg.

indeed, ancients wins

ancient = +2 dmg

ancient +2 = +4 dmg

flame +3 = +3 dmg

ancient wins with 1 point more, not much, but can make the difference in a fight.
