  1. From a security stand point this is suck which is my only beef with this. IT is the same for the top lists and who won the war stuff, the more access to the outside of the game the more holes in the game you make.

     

    and that is all I got to say about that.


  2. the first two are ligit I would demand they be wiped at all the last three are GM chars so again no wipe on them the one that does not look ligit has the chars involved handled so honestly I can say I do not hope they wipe these if so then that sets a precedence to wipe anything the players are whining about that is how we lost BSW on effret server because the one or two leagle ones and then the edit your contets hack to buy the ones that did not work right. BUT PEOPLE WHINEING LIKE WHAT YOU JUST DID JUSTME causes Nerf.

     

    So STFU Farjat answered the question and has taken steps to fix the illeagle one.

  3. thats what I was trying to suggest king If the system detects the connection is not there then it auto countdowns in a way that can be interupted and started over.

     

    If the player leaves via a normal 10 count then this system does not force the connetion to keep the player online with out them there.

     

    THat can be detected in that the system makes the pullers disapear when the connection is not there.

     

    by forcing the 10 count in every exit situation player present or not then this could stop pullers dead cold.

I been thinking about a way to stop pullers dead cold, if a person is sudenly disconected their char stays in location for the full 10 second count down, if the count is intruppted by being hit it starts again. this means of course the player cant log back in until their char gets a full 10 second count down.

     

    In essance a pull would mean that person gives away an ek.

     

    the side effect is if a person lags out while fighting mobs which for the most part does not happen offen enough to be considered a danger. After all any good player knows what killer lag looks like.

     

    farjat can this be looked into as a fix for the who shut down client pull thing?


  5. OK fair enough.

     

    DK set that was once given by the quest was cool, was stronger the knight but not too strong, and could be dropped, and doing the quests over and over gave you more to spread. Then because of them not being bound the armor was upgradeable which ment you could get a nice set with some real work.

     

    The Negitive Quests PLus the levels for the magestics at a rate of +1 per magestic step spent would mean someone with a dk +15 would have really earned their set.

     

    This also would keep the sets rare enough that stated weapons and armor would be more viaible in game.

     

    ANd the fact they could drop would ensure they were not used with out a zem or outside a sade. Thus elminateing most of the immortal factor.

     

    Also the quest system would open up ways to introduce other dk weapons and armor and let the players choose what peices they wanted by what quests they did.


  6. Well here are some effects I noticed during the exp test.

     

    OBSERVATIONS:

     

    at the x1 xp gold drop on a slime is 1 to 4 gold about 40xp for killing slimes directly

     

    at the x5 xp we had yesterday the gold drop was 12 to 18 and about 690xp for a run of slime

     

    at the test x25 neme 1 level the gold drop is about 50 to 70 and the xp is 2k per run of slime.

     

    QUESTIONS:

     

    now farjat I got to know is this just adjusting the main npc table exp or is this testing out a per map adjustment?

     

    And have you found a way to seperate the gold drop rate and the xp drop rate. if not with the higher xp your going to have gold which is worth something devalue big time.

    come on people this is as farjat stated just a test his and lorraine's taste run to long lived servers not quick pvp this is evendent in farjats own words

     

    We the owners of the servers really dont like high exp server, but we plan to do this test because of people asked to, and we always can make a test, and rollback to today backup if we dont like.

     

    they want to test things out and if they dont like the result then it will roll back...

     

    Personal Opinions:

     

    Like the poor fellow above who seems to belive he has wasted three days and has done nothing but bad mouthed the forums and advertised other servers in game, I also dont like the high fast servers but I do love servers with high pvm potential and a good set up for a long life. The high exp does kill off the quest system and does mean those who dont really know how to level can get their quick by riding the pits (yes I know I will get alot of boos and hisses for this comment but I would not if it was not TRUE) and could not find their way to any map worth of mention.

     

    Suggestion

     

    As I have said while the big guys were away I would love to see a per map adjustment something along the lines of

    that type of break down would encourage players to go after the bigger maps for the faster leveling and also insure those who level fast do truely deserve it.

  7. X1 with a + x1 for each map away from begginer zone, this would mean the maps that are furthest away have the most xp

     

    hence a newbie dungeon slime would be worth more then a farm slime.

     

    D2 cyclops is worth more then d1 which is worth more then pl and so on.


  8. hmm frost pure warrior you say,,, best of luck on that those can be a pain when your out of pot food and no recall scroll... but then that is what makes them so dang fun.

     

    ANd the pure damage alone is worth it

     

    but then go figures I am currently building a tank fencer that I will take to tank long sword when 180 comes out


  9. acctualy in nem one bloodtears was hitting for 50s 60s and 80s naturaly with off style weapons about lv 110. it is all in what skills you train and how you assign your stats.

     

    130 str is nice for full swing sword, but 200 str is worth so much more. the natural constiant 50s start about 160 str. if your staying with flams

     

    the dex of 50 lets you max a % but a dex 100 gives you a 1 for 1 set up on most monsters 150 gives you two hits to the monsters 1 and 200 dex averages you 4 successful hits to a monsters 1.

     

    vit of course effects your recovery speed not just your ammount of hp

     

    mages of course know the diffrence between 112 int and 67 int not just in what spells they learn but the power of their spells

     

    and magic of course is your spell points and your regen rate of mp.

     

    Your builds are very important but few look at what the stats really do.

     

    when there is a 180 server a pure warrior 200 str 177str 200vit with 100% mr 100% pr and the right weapon skills is a nasty combo in compairison to a 130 str 60 int 150 dex 60 int 18 mage rest vit. The ability to zerk is not worth the lost of natural damage and the lost of regen for pvm.

Ok that drop system might work but here is a slightly better tweak on it, those that kill a monster you have prefrence on looting the corpse, for the first 2 minutes, which would extend corpse times also gives the chance to add a scalvage corpse skill for alchy parts. after the two minute timer the drop poofs out like normal.

     

    Now that would mean a mess of hard codeing to get that feature set added. But if you have the sources like our admins do that may be feasable but way down on the list of fixes.

     

    Now as for your second system that sounds almost like your asking for a raid system, also a pain to code but also feasable for that to be added we would need a heck of lot more maps and mobs stronger then what we have.

     

    The closest map to that level of pain are the battle ground from hieldilan and duricain city and beyond. and at this time those maps are rare to access at best.

    It is a diffrent style of play

     

    your armor breaks and weapon breaks you recall long enough to repair then 5k right back down there. you never run out of cash

     

    most dwellers go to the off ware house to store their stuff because they dont want to mess with people.

     

    dwellers are interesting sub class of achiver


  13. but think about this those guys dont talk, they dont afk , when they are playing they are always getting xp when you think about it a dweller like ugh most likely maxes in what 2 weeks or at most 4 weeks.

     

    And think of the types of drops he would have. Might see so many rares that he would think they were common.

     

    Funny as hell there is a famous dweller everyone screams at for it, good old New_Day/Troubles practicaly lived in d4 or in infernia B. kill enough of anything and you will get its listed drops,

  14. after about lv 120 if you have pfm and zerk they are not that bad. Hell liches are worthless up close and ogres are slow.

     

     

     

    what gets me is those who take an anvil and a pick axe down there and craft their own weapons and armor, thus when a suit breaks they go up to d2 mine a bit and make a new set and go back down. And I thought I was obsessed. They farm the orcs for meat and pots if they need it. Never seeing the light of day...

     

    but then most dwellers tend to be very teritorial and gaurd their hunting grounds from anyone be they ares or elvine.

     

     

     

    It is not uncommon to see them labled as criminal.


  15. Urgh is a dweller worse then me he lives in the dungeon, only time I have ever seen him top side himself is to rearm and repair then he takes the 5k gate back down, he can usualy be found in d3 or d4 and does not talk much.

     

    Since I do most of my time on bloodtears down below I tend to see the dwellers more often. Also think of this XP for someone in d3 is easier to come by then some one in huntzones and other maps,

But the GMs do NOT have the access to fix this the people though that have the access are the admins Scat/Sexy/Farjat that is it Making multiple topics to scream at them about this is like yelling into the wind.
