    Ok I have another one of my pet theories (ok now is the time for people to start scratching their head on where I am going with this) I do need one question answered I know the Max for a stat is 200 and if you add a Maxed out str angel it can go up to 210 but what else can add strength to you and hypothetically what is the max. Which rings / Necklaces / Armor? / Weapons?     True both servers can go different directions eventually one may be sade centered and the other heild centered or just flat out EK centered. Or who knows maybe one of the Two will become the PVM server with everyone hunting abby once a week. I would say both servers are thriving and give them a couple months they will equalize then start growing further and further apart in what they are. But neither will Die, honestly this was the best move possible at this time, the Nemesis Servers will dominate all other helbreath server out there.

    Actually that was a bug when angels first came out, they did not subtract when taken off by switching between two angels if a stat went over 234 to 235 the character was locked out... and I had locked poor Khelben many a times trying to help scat and crew discover and fix that bug. Weapon speed never has worked correctly IMHO due to at 130 str a flam and a dagger are at the same speed (test it out) when the dagger is suppose to be at least 10x faster at that point. The only weapon that does not follow correctly is the bbh. all the rest hit top speed at their max stat. the bbh on the other hands never hits speed. If weapon speed worked correctly then you would have 208 str warriors ripping open dk sets like a tin can with daggers. and then weapon choice would not be Giant sword, Hero sword flam or BBH it would be what you wanted the char to use.

    Faster Lvl For New Players Wanting To Come Back

    This is a sweet deal for people wanting to level with out grinding I strongly suggest take advantage of it unless your a pl raider of course. And do remember the dummies dont drop so your trading leveling fast for less chance at items. gba: I can understand the argument about good leveling places now are sucking but remember there are a great many maps that you can hide on that no one and I mean no one goes to, you just have to look for them... ;)

    Hmm now if it were reverse I would say we were test beding for them, but that does look bad.... If Arg gets all the updates and we get nothing then it can be looked at very poorly. Good catch on that one.

    You know this kinda reminds me of the Abbadon / Apocilypse split, Everyone and their mother ran to Apoclypse server played about a week then came back to abbadon where they had their good chars and all their items. Apoc was suppose to drain people off the main server instead it was pretty much a ghost town for quite a while. Now mind I have not been there in a while so I dont know if they closed appoc down and went back to just abbadon but it would seem likely. oh btw I logged in for my 3 little levels today and yes there were 72 active connections to the server doing a /who So dont panic people will come back because of their stuff, and if HB NEM ARG has to increase drop rate / xp rate to try and keep them it will be fruit in a week. And one think I do know is Farjat Hates Fruit. So ride it out guys it is the "oooh shiny" syndrome that is all it is.

    No need to protest Arg and here is why, that server will draw Argentina And Brazil and maybe Peru players they have to share the same forums with the INT crowd. Which means they play the Arg then get curious about the INT and come to INT if they get better pings simple as that. If you spread the word about HB NEM INT it will not fail and will not die. And Honestly if the population of INT can double after maybe 1/4 of the total population leaves for HB NEM ARG then what was so bad about it. NOW IS THE RIPEST TIME TO TELL YOUR FREINDS ABOUT US NOW IS THE TIME THEY WOULD HAVE HALF A CHANCE WITH OUT THE SHOP CAMPERS EVERY WEEKEND GET THEM TO COME and watch things get even better. BTW sexy if you can get the Population up to 500+ Stable on HB NEM INT I may consider putting in a Resurection Request on the WARLOCK. ;)

    Ok I hate actually siding on this one but I will say this is temporary Remember you got the Oceania crowd, the Europe guys and the Americans they all play hb nem int. This week and probably next week they will be going over to HB nem Arg to take a look at it, By them going to look this in turn will drop the server population for a temp time not forever!!!! Now is the time for those Dedicated to Keeping HB Nem Int alive to pull out their MSN Rollodecks call all the people who they have on there to come back, It is time to advertise you your face book friends that You play Nemesis Interational and drum up support. Crying fowl at this point will not fix this situation, Getting the Population of INT higher then the Population of ARG will. Got old buddies from the Helbreath International and Helbreath USA servers contact them tell them about dragonia, tell them about the balanced game play tell them this server is not much of a grind and is not fruit. But please dont bitch and whine if your not going to do something about it.

    Argentina Server Opening.

    HB Nem Int players do not panic, what your seeing right now is the LookieLoos going to look at the new Shiny server they will come back and things will equalize out not to mention if the default language on one server is Spanish and the other server English your going to have new players who first find HB Nem Arg who speak only English learn about HB Nem Int via the forums and come in to our server. It is like this with every major Change Everyone Rushes to take a look at it and other aspects of the game are forgotten for about one to two weeks. Ride it out and stop panicking about it. Just Remember the Lower server load on HB NEM INT means less lag which means in turn better game play. Over all I see HB Nem Int loosing only about maybe 1/4 of its true population when it is all said and done. Same thing happened with HB Int when HB Usa opened for those that dont remember. HB Int Recovered.

    HB int Pre gold the Effrit server. as KhelbenV First guild I was in was the same one with RedHunter and Soul, GoD guild HB USA pay to play as Kheblen moved here because most of the GoDs guild had moved, Still stuck it out with Soul then known as Fearless or Misstat. Still laugh at the Fights she would get into with Face of the Phoenix guild. Here for a long while... til I got board as Khelben BTW any big updates other then Dagonia since I left?

    Elvine And Aresden Need To Join To Kill Abby!

    Good luck guys, The first time this happended we needed a major kick from the gms, there was helclaw pulling relays to start with this got players in each town working as teams for their town, the winning town got to pick its infernia and stayed in their infernia until it was cleared then went to help out the slow pokes in the other infernia. Then there was a race though the maze to see which town got the first 10 people though the maze. After that it became a clean up the Procella map which owned big time. Then the final step the abbadon map by then the players saw it was possible and were fully into it, not to mention the GMs being that it was the first true time people had been there by working their way there got in on the act. Yes it could be done Nem1 prior to that hunt was very much EK for EK and honestly the only difference I see is there are players who have not had the humbling experience of riding the lightning in abaddon map yet. Just remember to make the lure pits out of food boxes of size 15 x 15 if possible and if a town has a helclaw in their box it belongs to them and the other town does not steal it Leave a 5 square gap between the boxes that way there is a no mans land. For the popuation issue adjust the players though the maze to 20 for the town to win. Once Procella has started being cleaned the naysayers will want in on the action and come help because it becomes real for them at that point. And maybe a lv 0 or lv 1 gm with no summon ability, just invis mode and global chat and map teleport for his/her self should be used to globaly report the progress. That would draw those who log in late to join in on the fun. That is the formula used for the first hunt. To get it going... At the infernia stage most of the server was already hooked. Like I said it is not impossible or improbable just a matter of policing the first three events. After that it becomes gravy. Good luck. Khelben

    OMFG a true raiding guild in game... this could be interesting. I wonder when they will get the wild hair to go after abaddon in abaddon themselves with out any other guilds helping them out. (whats worse I forsee each member having a ligit abby ring. :ph34r: ) Now is the time for others to follow their example. can you say big sades may be on the way back.

    actualy bleeding isle where you dont drop nothing and no one gets an ek off you is a great place to fish, you sit back with a couple buddies and yack it up while fishing. time flys with out a macro, one of my favorite things to do was try to fill bleeding ilse with fish. stand in one spot til you catch then move one step away from the water rinse lather repeat til your too far from the water and then start the next row you hit 100% before you get half way round the ilse.

    Jappy the code is there but in the pre tower of hell revision of the game they simplified the fishing code. Mainly due to guys like FishJoe and a few others figured it out and also at that time item dupers caused problems with the bloody shock wave spells. siem did not want excalibur to get duped like that so they preemptively removed it by slimming the fishing down to one table and taking Excalibur out of the list. It use to read like the mining code with 6 different stages for example please look at mining code elvine d1 mineral-generator = 1 4 max-mineral = 26 D2 mineral-generator = 1 6 max-mineral = 39 noob dungeon mineral-generator = 1 4 max-mineral = 4 the Mineral-generator line is where the type is selected the max-mineral line is how many are on map at same time... now fishing code for map break down after it was simplified looks like this. Middleland // ???? ????? <--- commented out version of the fish-generator. max-fish = 20 elvine farm //--fish-point <---still commented out but translated for free servers. max-fish = 14 aresden // ???? ????? <--again the fish generator commented out. max-fish = 25 when you looking at mining how it breaks down into the different rocks, then look at the rock table on how to rebuild the fish table. for the fish generator then it is a matter of finding the reference in the sources to relink and uncomment them out. After assigning the 6 levels of fish on the fishing table. you can now assign it the same way they are on the maps for example what you see as noob dungeon only has rock types 1 2 3, you assign the fish types the same way. Picking the harder to fish on maps to restore the rarer item fishing to them. say towns would have only types 234 where farms would have type 123 bleeding isle and the gardens and hunt zones would have 12345 and of course in middle land 123456. The coding would be visible in the sources and on the map information files. Using the mining as a base you can restore fishing back to what it was on int prior to the toh expansion. Be as it may Current nemesis In all honesty most likely since it was running on the free sources prior to the sql update may have been lucky to have the fish-generator uncommented out hence the sightings, since the sql update that is most likely commented out therefore not in the game. Take a look there for your inspiration jappy, you may become a hero if you can A. fix the fish-generator B. convince the admins to return it to the game. Khelben.

    Ah covered low end now to do mid end and High end. In Middle land is the capped off teleport pad near elvine zombies... that would be idea location to trigger something mid level like another style of dungeon or tower... Or even better may take a little looking at the coding but a triggered gateway where you can only access it if your criminal.... The bad lands... \ No recall death while still criminal results as starting back at entrance to the bad lands. death which results in your slate is cleared sends you to recovery zone. The mobs in that location being of a higher calibur mob like the lizard men and the centaurs... also could be the location from which to test new mobs as they come around. Mind this would be one of those locations we will have people racking up PKs not eks for just to have their time in the Badlands. The triggered gateway is possible in that Nemesis uses the SQL sources not the compiled binaries. Also if I remember right there may be a bit of coding that triggers the gateway for durican city upon a condition being met, I know between the infernia and the maze there is one, so this also is doable just a matter of figureing how to set the trigger to be crim status instead of all mobs killed. Other servers would have a hard time copying this MID LEVEL ADAPTION. I would say 120 to 180 range. Dragonia is defelntly already high end and does not need the focus given to it right away but I will see about what I could come up with for other 180+ ideas. Come on guys are you going to let me out race you give some more Ideas I would love to see people try to top me.

    Ok smaller idea that would fit into the game and fix a thing or three also help with issues with changing and adding maps around. Long ago in Helbreath there was a way for people to get back and forth to the other town if they were below lv 100 it was the noob dungeon, Both exists of the noob Dungeon were just out side of the BX. This lead to some players finding interesting builds to make what is called a BX RAIDER, a char built around getting their EKs easy but it was no where near easy for those who did it. I was of the mind since the BX goes underground that at the furthest point in the bx combine elvine and aresden bx. instead of lay out like this use a combined like this. now the top level of the bx would still be a forbidden zone for enemy players this is to ensure newbies do have one room of the bx to play in. but the other six maps would see alot more use as bx raiders start running rampart Not to mention making this a war zone with a lv limit of 100 would give players options on if they want to ek in pl or in noob dungeon or in bx. This returns something that was lost long ago and also moves ek away from the core buildings some also gives use to maps which are for all intents only being used by macro masters at this time. And make promise land a little easier to hunt in for players looking to hunt monsters (the hard core ekers now taking it to BX raiding) Lorraine I can see how this can be done easy by adding a door to the bx 1.1 maps and reagranging the maps just a little. No real new maps just a slight reconfigure but in the long run it is easy to do, would give a template for how to adjust other maps. That is a smaller easy change that opens doors to other changes and Looking at the player base this would be a boon instead of a bane.

Ok there is the standard voting section but it would be nice to have a link that focuses on votes total. the reason I am mentioning this is I got to thinking that ever classic Loading screen that happens on map change or server change could have a picture and text encouraging people to remember to vote for nemesis. (I dont think reminders to vote for Nemesis in game are Illeagle or Immoral on the vote thing.) and should not break any rules on the vote system since the players still have to follow the linkies off the website to get there. just a suggestion that may help... Here is a sample of such an idea.... Put that or something simular on the loading screen under the "Please wait..... Loading" count down boxes... Well enough for my one post for today ;)

    It is about time, Alot of good ideas are coming out here. As people Know I moved on because of lack of substance but I am seeing now Nemesis is getting back on the tracks. Sexy/Scat/Farjat get your cut and paster and clean it off the forum buttons ready. Interface changes: new slash commands to assist players in game. (influanced from Research of successful tools from other games in the same Genre, Modified to fit and fix glaring holes in helbreath) /Autoloot (1-100) - Players who makes kill or is in party that makes kill get the items direct dropped to bag the 1 - 100 is the % of times the item would drop off the monster say your rare hunting for the medusa in snakes a 1% drop rate this would make anything that dropped more offten be ignored for vultures to take. Autoloot would take in account party hunts and disribute the items though the party in a round robin drop system. This type of auto-looting system stops the Drop theives dead cold, covers the spreading items out for food game. (though ultra rares can still be fooded for those who choose to do so) Also this makes for a strong reason to avoid death in an ek they get the drop /friends /party /guild (maybe assigned to control keys) New interface windows Using examples I have pulled out of other games (researching for Ideas that can be adapted and help Helbreath grow) -The friends list would be limited info and could be set for either town due to it does not expose location -the party list lets you control party options like each gets own gold/drops/xp or shared on those choices. -the Guild window gives complete control of the guild to the Guildmasters -the ability to see who are all in guild and to see how much xp they brought the guild. And see their location if -needed. great for planning guild hunts. -Kick people out and why they were kicked (when not online a very much needed thing aka the diffrences in -disbanding the guild to dump a rotten apple or not) -provide guild notices -assign recuitiing ability and expel ability and if the person would have access to guild wh. -rankings where the guild is, what other guilds they hunt most often who they have the most friends with. ect. cntl-A : auto attack this is a broken feature currently in helbreath basicly allowing you to be hitting a mob until it is dead mind the auto attack would not take into account any fancy moves for eking like swerving behind a person and nailing them in the back or chasing a runner. cntl-F : follow unless attacked great for a guild hunt to get a party to a far location also great for conga lines. I wont go into Battle Mode which is like turning the whole letter part of the key board into hotkeys (talk about weapon changes, armor redawning, pot chugging, spell casting madness) unless the enter key is pressed first which will flip to text mode. NPC OVERHAUL Add Bob the bartender - the ek caller system place him inside a building like the off warehouse.. this way those who want to see an EK caller system can those that dont, dont. His Holyness the priest in the church - Your top ten rankings on eks and villians, and expriance get that stuff off the website less the game interfaces directly with website the more secure it is. Have each npc assign quests for contrib. more on this later. Warper NPC - gods finding that dungeon lv 4 or toh 3 would be so nice, even nicer if it cost 1mil to go there directly talk about a money sink that would sink. Pawn shop (consignment auctions) - Items given to this guy go up for sale but you get only 90% of the worth of the item set by Admins of course. if Item does not sale in a week it is lost for store value as if sold. Skill overhaul The abandoned skills like Taming stand by everyone is asking for... fine make certian items effect diffrent monsters the success % is based on Skill%* (cha*.5) / % of monsters hit points left this would mean a tamer needs to have his cha in play to have any effect what so ever. (means new items one for each monster out there) Pick Pocket skill: CHA x0.5 failure causes instant agro even if stealth from monsters. attempts on npc that fail land you in jail, attempts on players fail at anything below 100%, attempt on player causes a click now box to appear on victim if they click it you go to jail if they dont you gank a non equipped item. Can not Steal from someone in PC Stealth dex x0.5 180 seconds of inaudible other players can see you but not hear you (couple this skill with invis for nasty effects and eks, non clairvoinant mobs cant see broken if you run/hit/fail to steal. AOE healing spells - warning could heal mobs. MONSTER OVERHAUL - Take every monster out there give it 3 more pallets of colors now you have easly 75% more mobs to play with, aka blue slime, red slime, and gold slime. the diffrent pallets means more str hp dam and dex. Also take each base monster and make an elite named version of that mob that is unique in that it only appears after 1k of that mob have been killed on that map.... aka the Slime King a x10 slime which only shows up when the slimes on the map have been picked on way too much. EXPERIANCE OVER HAUL - Each map further from farm gets x1 multiplier this makes the mobs further out worth more, a cyclops in PL is only x2 exp but a cyclops in ML is worth X3, and same cyclops in d2/MLM is worth x4.... This encourages people to go further for better xp thus takes the focus out of the town pits which are only x2 exp. WEAPON OverHaul - Weapon speed currently has two speeds slow and full swing. bring weapon speed factors into play to balance the weapons out some those speed 1 daggers max out at 13 str and hit at same rate as a flam at 130 str. but what if that dagger was x10 faster at 130 str? People would reach out for their favorite weapons more often and you would get away from the two weapon game. fist are speed 0 so think of what a 200 str plus angel plus ogre ring char can do with just fists. The mobs will be harder with the alternate pallet mobs and the elite mobs. thus Make the weapon damage exponental aka a dagger is 1d4 which is (1-4) un modified but currently a dagger +1 is (2-5) unmodified, With exponental damage that same dagger +1 would be (1d4+1d4) or (2 though 8) unmodified now at +10 that dagger gets nasty (1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4+1d4) or (11 though 44) damage... that gets nasty when counting speed. Spell Overhaul - Before the poor one trick pony mages start flipping out about the whole weapon overhaul thing (yes there will be some who see that and ignore the whole rest of the post, take the whole thing into account not just one part or you miss out on a massive bit of overhaul) ADD the elemental skill set to the skill tree aka a mage uses the fire spells they gain not just magic % but fire % after their magic is at 100% think of it as specalizing but mind if you add elemental bonuses then you have to add elemental defences to balance out. Really would suck to be a bliz mage with 100% magic and 100% ice and meet that warrior who sacrificed a weapon for 100% ice resistance. but that same warrior would get owned by a fire mage. Now that santa suit/ mshield / icy neck dont seem so hot a combo when you have earth mages energy mages and fire mages running loose. Again the exponetnal damage effects mages also but it would be based on the + of their staff, effecting the base damage of their spells. Now for the big two Map overhaul... this would be in stages getting the map count for the overworld upto a 15 x 15 x 6 grid, yes that is 1350 overworld maps not counting unique zones like buildings and dungeons... when assembled it would make a cube and have plenty of room to grow more high level areas, extra towns, new factions, ect. More room for story, and god help the explorer people they would never get board. heck we even may have a marco polo who would want to find his way around the whole game world. graphic overhaul... ok as scat stated the the bigger idea here 3d is beyond our current abilitys but a good idea, why not go upto a 2.5d instead then engines are avalible (RO, PT, DR, Diablo ect.) it would be just a matter of redoing the guts to move the current game mechanics over to them this would be a step toward the 3d and would also cause one hell of a shake of the foundations of the free gamer community to take engine of one and mechnaics of another and fusion them correctly... think of being able to draw both Helbreath (great pvp engine) players and Ragnarok Online (great explorer engine hurting on pvp) players for a single server could easly hit number one on both lists. Final overhaul... Quests Hunt Quest - helbreath has Location Quest - Helbreath Has Scavanger hunt quest - Helbreath needs Delivery quests - Helbreath needs STORY ARC QUESTS - Big time helbreath needs, only one exists right now (well two in nemesis ) that is abbadon and the dragon land (unconfirmed if it is arc quested) (arc quest is a multi-staged quest that is designed around story line) Well that is a quick and dirty lay out of what I would see as things to massiively overhaul HB. Some of the tweaks that were asked not to do are in here due to they are almost a nessary evil in getting some of the other things in correctly. (boosting the mobs without boosting the players would be an indirect nerfing and I hate Nerfing. Khelben *Slowly and steadly coming out of my Helbreath overload, and starting to come back slowly.*
