what could I say.. Saying someone sucks works as a major confidence boost. Like growing your virtual pen*s. This game has nothing common between real life so probably these guys (that say bad things to others) are just jerks, nerds, hombres with lack of self-honour and self-respect. + It's a part of this game. It has always been. But all the talking escalates here in hbnemesis. + + the real pros play quiet & fight until the end. Also dying 3 vs 1 (when you're in the 3) is quite rare and can be very humiliating. So this guy who fought alone did pretty well.

I'm studying human addictions in university and I decided to ask you guys how do you see your relations between you and helbreath :) . Ive made a customized list based on WHO ICD-10 disorder classification about Dependence syndrome / Addiction syndrome. The ICD 10 -list has classifications only for drug dependence disorders so I made my own that is developed to fit in computer gaming. The Core to define an addiction is in the following 6 lines: 1. A strong desire / need to play 2. Decreased ability in controlling the start, amount or ending the gameplay. 3. Withdrawal symptoms (mostly anger, frustration, violence) when ending the game for reason or another. 4. Increased tolerance 5. The game has become the centre of ones life. (Someone may organize hes/her life in a way that he / she could play more. Perhaps waking up earlier or going to bed a lot later than was supposed etc.) 6. Continue use despite harmful consequences Whats the most satisfying thing in your gaming? When youre thinking about the game whats the thing that crosses your mind at first? When you describe the game to your friends whats the thing you start from? 1. Gaining ek 2. Fighting overall / raiding 3. Trading 4. Getting a drop 5. Exping / leveling 6. The Helbreath environment / graphics 7. Friends / community 8. Successful paralyze to a moving target 9. Sh*t talk 10. Something else? Remember that this poll is just made for fun. Nobody gets judged / classified. I only want to know what you think about this subject. Addiction itself is a painful disorder that might mess anyones life big time. Its good that this community talks also about the addictive factor that belongs to this game. I hope that the conversation stays polite, leave the sh*t talks into the game or somewhere else but not here. -- X -- Ill start the conversation with my own answer. A while back I noticed that I was hooked on HB big time. Thatswhy I reduced gaming a lot and now Im 'on a break' from HB (and i might come back after xmas xD). I noticed that I was constantly thinking about playing the game. "O damn i wish i'd get a hp63 cape from a demon that i killed with Zoro" etc. Ive also dreamed of playing hb. I also woke up earlier in the morning just to get few more majestics. I got damn tired at school but it didnt matter. The game become the centre of my life (ye i was nolife true that). When im thinking about hb i always think about getting a damn nice drop or casting a successful paralyze + mass rape the victim with my surnoobs fellows. I still cant deny the fact that HB is a da*n good game ;p and despite the addictive consequences i still want to play it.

Addiction usually means that YOU MUST DO something. You cant stop even if you want to. Until you realize youre addicted you cant even think about stopping. I wasnt that addicted but I was addicted a bit milder way. I bet most of us can quit playing but we will eventually come back again and again. Just to see the friends or something. I also have a lot IRL friends but when you get older seeing friends irl gets a lot more complicated. You move to another city for studies / work and friends do the same. Its kinda usual in todays world to keep contacts in the web. And web also made possible to create new connections with all kinds of 'virtual friends' as I see you guys. Virtual friends can be almost as good as real friends even if we never see them irl. Thats pretty funny but thats how it goes. HB-addiction compared to addiction with substances is a lot better option. Its a lot more acceptable to play hb 24/7 than use drugs 24/7. And its always easier to quit without bad physical and mental withrawal states. But when playing messes up studies/job its time to start thinking the relation between work and free time.. For me, quiting hb happened after i got all items a player could get + full hero. I had no more goals in game (except making a new char). So I felt it was a good time to keep a break. Ive always felt that I might come back and I never close the option of returning. The nemesis-community has hooked me.

Wow kefka. Thanks guys for being active with this topic. Where are the guys that beg farjat to work faster when the server is down? :P Any other 'no-lifers' around? Yep in gaming the addictive thing isnt necessarily the game itself but the feeling you gain from playing. Someone might feel that its a fast way to get relaxed, excited or perhaps escape the real life. Also its true that MMORPG is based on long-lasting gaming experience (nonstop) Its also true that majority never experiences such feelings. Most of players are not addicted. Most of the guys that are addicted do not even realize they are addicted. Keep up the conversation! :) Also Special thanks to whole staff for being so patient with us. We get a lot from this game and we surely do give you something as a return (good & bad things). Everyone should remember that the staff is working 24/7 to keep these things up.

okay i read ur posts. those were okay but ruutus post was the closest to my opinions and thoughts. ares needs more leadership, thats a fact. but the fact is also that its summer time and it is very normal to forget hb on summer time, focus to real life and join back to the server in the end of august when schools starts again. my conclusion: lets wait for few more weeks and lets see what the autumn brings us.
