  1. I disagree with this idea, especially because its easier to get backup. I think organizing guild should be also one of the "skills" available in game.

    Yes, getting backup takes some element of skill to pull off and it still would in the case you are calling for backup that are not in your party. It's just really situational. However, I think the benefits of this would outweigh that concern.

     

    Hunts would be easier to coordinate, raiding parties could keep better track of each other, etc.

     

    The game already has enough "skill" elements (aiming spells, timing multiple targets, breaking casts, etc.) to where the skill gap between the highly skilled players and the low end beginners is pretty huge.

  2. well if that so, maybe an advanced AB in circle10 that is a very rare drop. A 2x2 AOE with lower damage but with higher effect, and of coz a higher mana consumption needed to cast it. And yes it can break through PFM but not AMP and GDS (yea gds).


  3. well it's kind of annoying to talk, dekline a lot of times until getting the quest u want, plus there are a lot of quests, my suggestion is to be able to chose the quest you want.

     

    4 example: talk (william in CH) --> quest list.

     

    And there u choose what u want.

     

    Good suggestion, but i don think it's an issue. Maybe in the future


  4. I think armor break that can penetrate PFM is unfair for warriors, especially on FH sets. 3 mages with that "Upgraded AB" will own every non-AMP warrior.

     

    But on other hand, I would like to see some changes or something to be done on Great Defense Shield.


  5. Just got back from busy working schedule.

     

    I tested it last few days at BI with a friend of mine with full DK armor, standing right on the spot, and his a bbh user. I can tell you that the dmg was reduced ALOT, where receiver will get 200 - 300dmg, with dk15, rogm, ms18, angel 8. However, I've made a 480dmg (which is the highest i can make on that day after the fixed) on the warrior, but it was like ONCE in a 30+times trial.

     

    Regarding on the theoretical dmg, WhiteGM, I might need you to clarify this to me, is HF still a 5x5 dmg? or changed to 4x4, because 5th tile is not affected.

     

    As for the mana consumption, it's a 151 mana to be used (with ms18), and 250 in safe mode to cast the spell. So honestly, 151mana for a 200-300 dmg, to me is really not worthy. So what i did during the fight on that day (with some koreans I saw, and eventually got chased by their whole nation at the end) was actually just blizz with my friend and HF when I feel the time is correct.

     

    And this is how my friend felt. They say the dmg has been reduced too much, and for this, the spell isnt "special" anymore. People won't hunt for special spells anymore. Coz it's not special. They would rather use blizzard with the special freeze effect.

     

    It's true that HF no longer a 1 hit KO (ON NOOB GOLDIE, PLEASE MAKE THIS RIGHT) but it's not a "good" spell to go for fight. Why? People will prefer blizzard as it gives the freeze effect. People still prefer ESW as it gives the sp reduction.

     

    I know many of you hate koreans, but as from what I've experienced during the fight with them before the fix, I always got chased by them EVERYTIME I LOG IN. And I can tell you that, getting chased by 2 SB, 1 Ice sword, 1 Xelima, 1 DK15 sword, 1 Archer to stunt me all the time, 1 Z wand, 1 DK15 mage, it's NEVER BEEN EASY TO EVEN STOP AND CAST AAAAAAAAA SPELL. I can only rely on my friends to invis me and get my chance to just cast a spell. And guess what, those koreans would rather chase me on the entire ML, than killing a noob mage running behind them.

     

    I would like to type more but I'm in hurry for next Commercial shooting.

     

    My opinion, HF dmg SHOULD REDUCE, but not this much. And I know White and staff had a long and hard time to think about this issue, which I really really feel that their commitment to nemesis is a worthy server to play.

    The mshield wand is crappy crutch that weak players abuse and hide behind, way way too often.

     

    When Mshield/Tower combo is HOT KEYED by so many players, it's gotten out of hand!

     

    And i dont just say this....ask anyone who ever fought Justice...I dont even carry mshield wand when i raided.

     

    I can see why mages pull one when para'd but now i see mages CASTING with it!!!!!!! its bad men...super bad.

     

    Simple, just make the mshield not available to cast magic, and disable binding mshield to hotkey.

     

    Seriously, for this scenario, let's make mshield and emerald ring as one of the rare. Wipe everybody's mshield, and we start it again.

     

    You want to reduce def/pa of mage's dkset, and also disable mshield, or making it difficult for mage to own one.

    On the other hand, you guys does not want any restriction for warrior to hold an mshield.

     

    As a whole, I don't think it is balance.

    With the kind of numbers Nemesis has been seeing recently, it's hard to even claim the "massively" part anymore.

     

    Something just needs to be done to keep current players wanting to play and to bring something fresh to the server so people will actually WANT to come to this server.

     

    A lot of it has to do with attitude, advertisement, and improved gameplay. Lets face it, Nemesis used to be the forerunner of new HB versions, but these days...every other server has what Nemesis has.

     

    I'd really like to see Nemesis shine again, because honestly, it IS getting a tad bit dull. Even with the cool events Hunter does.

     

    Advertisement cost a lot of money, and nemesis is a free online game. Donation itself is not enough to make a descent advertisement to be aired in other websites or any other media that you have in your mind. HB used to championed the online game industry because there's no other online game back then. But right now there are massive online games out there with better graphics and etc, and of coz, those company is earning through point selling, sponsorships, and etc.

     

    But back to the topic, if you really want to remake the dk set, then decrease not only the mage one, but also warrior as well in order to make it fair.

     

    As for the m.shield case, unless GM wants to make changes on emerald ring, or else it won't be fair for mages not to hold an mshield to protect themselves from Physical attack . And please consider that, if you make a change on its requirement to hold mshield with str100, you are only making the warriors go stronger, and leaving mage has no other choice but giving ek. Population will decrease for sure because you will see no one using mage, hence making the game even more boring.

     

    FOr defensive spell, Warriors have a good defense with their dex and higher vit compared to mage, they don't need great defense shield but pfm/amp will be more than enough for them to counter and kill mages. But other hand if you are asking mages to use great defense shield to counter warrior's attack, you are indirectly telling those mages to suicide.

     

    And btw, don't forget that most of the time, we will try to kill mage first before warrior. Not because mage is strong, but it's because they are weak in the sense of VIT and DEF.

     

    Mage is overpowered bcoz of the dkset and mshield? No I dont think so. It's fair enough in every way (Except mage doesnt have a master hat)

     


  9. Disagree. Mage have a low def already. It's a very disadvantage for mages with low vit especially. Hence every hit from a warrior will definitely goes right to the mage. And don't forget mages regen their hp slow. Warriors have mr/ma set to counter mage offensive spell, but not mage. I dont think mage will defense shield themself, or wearing a pa/dr leather or chain, which will easily get striped by bbh users. This is my 2 cents :)

    Yeap, my point is just to add a higher endurance for the hat :-) But well, additional 1 defense is cool too.

    Stated hat can come later in next year maybe, not so soon.

     

    *Well warrior have xelima battle axe and ice sword to use. Not to forget, all those nice stated weapons and armors from top to bottom. Also excaliber and devastater (only not drop yet). So I believe both warrior and mages are fair in terms of weapons and spells. There's only 1 hell fire in game, and there's only 2 cancelation and both are not active. Warriors have a good number of activation, and not to forget, a storm bringer can chase 1 mage out. So nah, I don't think that is an issue or a topic, yet.
