  1. So I am having this error randomly and I am not sure why. The thing is, I have been logging on throughout the day but have seen it a few times earlier and now constantly. Every time I try to log on right now I am getting a handshaking fail and it is driving me crazy.

     

    I don't have any proxies, I have a router but don't know how to change the IP-balancing (honestly have never had a problem like this on any server including nemesis until now), I tried the mirrored nemesis 3, and like I said I have logged on many times today previously.

     

    Really looking for some help here because this is getting on my last nerve.


  2. well just because you don't like boxing or you like to cancel spells doesn't mean it is best for the game. Boxing is inevitably apart of the game as a whole, as is timing in pvp and waiting out the effects of a spell, good or bad. Changing this doesn't necessarily make the game better, it just leaves a more selective experience for an hb player, which isn't always a good thing when nemesis is trying to portray a "classic hb" feel.


  3. I agree with Amon whole-heartedly. I didn't play pvp with these additions mind you, but I really wasn't crazy about seeing these additions when I logged on to take a look around. Definitely can't emphasize enough to make canceling the buffs not an option, as this ruins the foundation of PVP and timing. as for the invulnerable buff, I don't like the idea at all.. boxing eks, while not the best eks, are still fun eks. The server can't be all hardcore skills skills skills, or no one will have fun, which is still part of the game idea I believe.

     

    In addition, I'd like to spread some light onto the fact that fragile and corrupted items are taking over neme3. I DON'T LIKE THIS. AT ALL. I seriously can't express my dismay enough towards these kinds of items.. It takes long enough to get anything good while hunting (Yes I understand that these are in addition to normal rares, only with an increased drop rate) but I just can't see myself getting excited about a drop that will disappear eventually.

    And I can only assume that the NORMAL rare drop rate will be further decreased.. which if true will mean that hunting will be hard to keep motivated at, since anything good that drops will soon disappear.

     

    I just can't get behind the idea of getting time-limited items.. and If they are extremely prevalent in neme 3 it will really kill the classic hb feel I come to this server for.

     

     

    Sorry for the rant but I have played here on and off for 5 years now and I want to keep coming back. I love nemesis and still value it more than anyother server, I don't want to see it fail due to non-classic ideas. thank you for listening and please correct me if I am wrong, I would very much like to be wrong on this issue. :)


  4. Changing how items are dropped or traded will completely destroy this game. I see 0 point in hunting a very long time for an item that isnt even worth a fraction of the time put into obtaining it. Leave the system how it is, it is what makes helbreath, helbreath! Y'all are trying to implement wayyyy too many new ideas and honestly this is killing the very aspect that brought me to this server! The classic helbreath style! It isnt how the game plays, it just needs to be reset... This doesn't mean anything bad, it lasted over 8 years or so! But half the fun of helbreath is starting fresh and doing it all over again. It is inevitable that the serve must be reset but these new changes and ridiculous ideas are not helping the cause. Honestly, I don't care for the new systems I saw. I prefer the old style like I'm sure most other people would as well.

     

    This is of course my opinion, but I don't want to see this server die so I want to put in my 2 cents as well.


  5. please consider resetting the server soon I would very much like to come back and start over on nemesis. I miss it

    U are away and didnt know.

    The server have bugs now. and we cant even consider a reset if we have no server ready.

    Resetting now will be getting 300 ppl which will cry cause server will crash and situation will be worst.

     

    Once we get stable back we will choose our future.

     

    Well I apologize for posting that without reading more into it, I wasn't aware of the bug problems. However, when resolved I surely cannot wait to be an active member of Nemesis again :) . Till then maybe I'll waste time every now and again killing ettins :P

    good ideas be this .. No more "automatic events" 1 gm for make a event .

     

    raid time changed mon , tues wend 5 min , rest day 45 min 1 hr .

     

    change a drop rate for boss monster per 2 or 3 month .

     

    "drop" some monster per week with 5 or 10 % more Drop rate to hunt in aleatory map. "gold demon" " hero twin" or some shit like that .

     

    and plz for the love of god GIVE SOME USE TO FH CAPE I DONT WANNA WAST 300 EKS FOR NOTHING !

     

    Please quit spamming my genuine suggestion with your Personalized nonsense.

     

    On topic: I don't really see this being an impact to the game, once you get killed you are off the list until you get back up there again, you don't stay there like the top-eks list.

    I've thought about it, and the only way i see this being scammed is if: either someone lames, which is easily detected, or if the same person is getting the eks for the reward, which is also easily detectable. So how do you mean?


  8. Since gold is becomming scarce, I was thinking of ways to obtain it and the Wanted system came to mind. I have seen it on other servers but regardless I think it's a cool system that could give players a bigger reward in gold for killing those elusive murders.

     

    Something similar to the ones i've seen would be like the top ek / gold players on our current front page, it could be another player counter but with the title "Most Wanted" and would list players with the highest number of consecutive kills without themselves being killed. Then, the players that manage to get the ek on that most wanted would get a reward in gold, increasing more and more based on the rank of the most wanted player, as well as their kill count. I'm sure this idea has been suggested before but with gold lowered so much I thought it would be a good time to try it out.

     

    So, what does Nemesis think of a wanted system?


  9. Is there any chance that something like skill progress bar could be implemented?

    It would be nice to check how much is left for skill such as blacksmith, alchemy, or taming (this one after 70% it gets slow and dull if you are alone). Or maybe some countdown on how many more items you need to do, or mobs to tame.. dunno, whatever it shows the progress.

    Dang it man I was seriously waiting all day for the forums to come back up to post this suggestion lol. Ah well. Anyways, here is my mock up of what I was thinking, just an idea. It's simple and accessible without crowding the UI

    Well what about quest gold?? Are they going to be reduced as well?

    This is an extremely unexpected shock..

     

    Why punish the people who spend time earning the gold and who enjoy using the teleports? Just ban the faggots who cheated or take all of their gold and next time ban?

    The teleport prices are fixed. We lowered them to his 10%

    Abuse existed. Dont forget someone got a medusa from it. I know its luck, but he got it using negatie gold bug right?

     

     

    Anyway no excuse. The true is Gold was always *censored*ed. Why u need 14M if they cant buy nothing.

     

     

    Gold drop is based on Monster Exp.

    Nemesis Exp is basicly X25 and gold was being divided by 4 on the last stage of the formula. Means our gold droprate was X6.25 compared to exp x1 gold droprate.

     

    Now we are dividing 25 / 15 meanns our droprate still X1.6

     

    100.000K is enoff for a lot of repairs. dksets repairs are not being charged right? (should fix)

     

    Well hey thanks for the updates and maintenance! At least nice to see that these problems are taken care of and we all really appreaciate it ^_^ ! As long as Dk suits don't cost anything to repair (haven't noticed if that was already effective) and teleports are cheaper I'm happy ^_^

     

    Curious though if the lucky tickets will be reduced in price or what because I always saved up to a mill or so and then blew it all on the tickets, I still want to use them lol. In fact the only reason I liked having a lot of gold lying around was to either give it to new players, use teleports instead of running, or to buy tickets. If they are extremely expensive now due to the gold changes and still have the incredibly low rate of rares, I don't really see a point in keeping them around. But maybe that isnt the case.

     

    btw I Can't believe someone got a medusa sword from the tickets :blink:

     

    Basicly we got forced to whipe the gold, so on the fly we are trying to fix his value.

    btw, I turned in a quest and found that it still gives 105k gold. thought you guys should know incase it isn't supposed to be so high still.

    wait, I'm kind of confused. I had 2mill in my bag and 0 gold in my wh. Is all of that gone to only 100k??

    That would make the spell useless and not even close to being worth the amount of MP it costs.

     

    It's a spell people. It's blockable, dodgable, resistable, costs a crapton of mana, and it's a 1x1 spell.

     

    think about it for a second.

    if you get sleeped, you cant use spells. you can't attack. you can't trade out armors or equip sheild or chug. so, if you get sleeped during middle of a fight, maybe you get stuck with say 550 hp and all your mr gear on. 2 wars with bhs come up and you are in a terrible situation: you cant pfm, fire strike, and completely vulnerable to mass crits, with a mage on stand by to finish you off.

    or you get sleeped and 2+ mages standing by you are caught with dk on. again, sticky situation. no spells to help, completely vulnerable to hard blizzards and the first one is cutting your hp in half.

     

    this spell, if made a physical release as well, isnt useless if people will understand all of its many effects. being paralized in every single way is extremely crippling when you are caught off guard or with the wrong set on. And it can be used continuously!! How is that useless.

     

    And to MJ, i was making a rough guess so i wasn't for sure. 400 is still pretty hard imo :P


  15. I feel this spell is extremely overpowered.

    Currently Sleep:

    allows no armor change, no spells, no attacks, no movement.

    so far, this seems to me what sleep should do. this is reasonable. (ie sleep someone with mr armor on, mass crits ez kill, or catch with dk on, blizz, same thing)

    But it also has: 2x first strike attack, easily 200+ with wars or 300-400+ with mages, on the first hit alone.

    BUT, with wars, this doesnt knock off the spell. so not only did you get blasted for a 1/4 ur hp in the first blow, but you also cant equip your DK, you can't equip a shield, and most importantly, you can't chug pots.

    Your only other options are to sit there and hope the spell wears off, someone helps, or die.

     

    Some one please explain why this is is not too much.

     

    my suggestion would be to lower the sleep to 10-15 secs, keep the 2x first dmg, no armor change/spells/attacks, and allow pots. if not pots, then make like hold person, 1 hit, magic or physical, releases. I know if i was alseep and someone hit me i'd wake up(since others are comparing it to being actually asleep).

     

    its the exact same spell as on hbkorea which is what white intended in the first place.

     

    no more words needed for that.

     

    There are some issues regarding sleep, which we're resolving ASAP.

    On top of that, para & hold person times were originally already reduced in nemesis, sleep was kept original but will probably face a slight reduction of time to compensate with hold person and paralyze spells.

     

     

    how many deaths cause of sleep do u see?

     

     

    how many deaths cuz of ie swords/ x weapon do u see?

     

     

    how many deaths because of blizz/paralize do u see?

     

     

     

    if u see the numbers, the logical thing would be to erase blizz or paralize, or activations first, right?

     

     

    its not overpowered, it costs a shitload of mp, and the only reason cause its "overpowered" (i write it like that cuz its not) is cause the guy who has it is an american who has no ping therefore he can aim pretty easy. Give it to me or some1 with 200+ ping (not to mention an asian with 400+) and it will be useless

     

    this is a ridiculous comparison. 1 sleep spell currently being used vs every other activation/blizz/para?? when there are more of these in use, it begins to pan out, ie how it works fine in hbkorea..


  16. It's late and my brain isn't working well, but I will say this:

     

     

    We will NOT be adding statted BBH's unless we lower the damage first. Their dmg is NOT the same as HB USA/HB Korea, it's much higher.

     

    I also think we're already talking about adding different quest prizes, but maybe not...Like I said, I'm tired!

     

    Pretty sure damage on both of those servers is higher than nemesis actually, although I can't confirm for HB Korea as I haven't played there.

     

    Yeah I agree as well. HbUSAs base Dmg AND bbh Dmg are much much higher. I asked around and they said it was because it was boring how hard it was to kill anyone anymore and with my bbh on that server like 3 months ago I could hit up to 70(average was like 40-50s) normal swing without zerk or crits at lvl 140 onto 180s :P

    So no. Our Dmg is not higher but it should be. Ridiculous.


  17. I don't know if many people remember, but in the olddd days of barracks raiding, one of the biggest benefits was summoning cyclops to completely rape all the level 50-. I know that was some time ago but I felt like it was an intense game play because it kept things different and while it was difficult to kill a cyclops at 50, with enough people you could counter and blast the 10 vit Mage to hell :lol:

     

    I say this cuz I think summoning creatures never reached it's full potential(Summoning a cyclops at 180 is hardly threatening) and for that reason the ability to sacrifice a good amount of stat points to summon a decent monster( such as a tw or a zerked gg) should be completely fine to me. Especially if the monster is on a timer. We are talking new builds in helbreath and a change of pace in pvp. Anyways, that's what I've got! Great idea and I hope to see it soon!
