  1. White it seems like you are always fighting the players. I understand you are doing what is best for the server but the people in the server matter too. In fact I logged in today after being gone since around the new launch and I find that the server is dead again but this time in less than a year which is ridiculous for nemesis. Why are you pushing the public's thoughts away and with it the player base? i've seen this COUNTLESS times over the years and I just don't get it. I'm not trying to disrespect but you need player feedback. Other servers often base many of their updates purly around player feedback always taking their consideration into account. It is after all the players that will be dealing with the changes and such.

     

    Just an observation.. very sad to see nemesis yet again low in server population and I sincerely hope it turns around for the better soon.


  2. Ya'll are single-handedly ruining the fourms and server. PLEASE stop while ya'll are ahead because this 'protesting' seriously isn't cool. This isn't something that will be fixed over night IT TAKES TIME TO BALANCE. You can't just throw guilds back and forth, it causes problems due to the timezone and new players etc.. But ya'll are causing the problems now, not the imbalance. Ya'll are playing a game not lobbying Farjat, have fun and stop ruining this game for the rest of us.

  3. I agree with the d3 / d4 quest.. while it is nice I feel it is being abused quite a bit and doesn't feel very rewarding. Don't take out the cf pit though, I don't see a reason to focus population on one map, pvm is obviously an important part of the game.

     

    As for mim if anything maybe raise the mp cost a lot so that mages will have to be more strategic about its use rather than constantly spamming it to keep the enemy in perpetual mim.


  4. I was wondering if we could get the number of players online back under the calendar on the home page, or at least an icon saying whether the server is online or not.

     

    I am finding myself constantly trying to log on to see if the server is back up and sometimes it is hard to tell if it's server issues or my own issues.

    I just feel this would be useful and save some frustration by just checking the front page instead of attempting to log in every time.

  6. THe server has never been attacked. Every server says that shit and we all know it just a *censored*up in the files or with the server.

    Sure this would make sense... if it wasn't for the fact that hb nemesis 2 had about 100% uptime with exceptions of server maintenance. They have great dedicated servers and a great coding staff. To act like this is the staff's fault is ridiculous. And even if it was they would tell us, just like they always have before.


  7. I don't see why this is up for discussion. Hb nemesis had mim in shop since I started playing here over 5 years ago. Why the heck are we talking about changing it now? Leave it in the shop, where it belongs. It is an annoying spell but it's apart of the game and makes it more challenging / fun.

    It does make sense. I believe the idea behind the feature is that after a time limit the umbilical cord gets cut, after that there should be no toddler-safe cribs to run to, "HB Easy Mode" certainly wasn't what anybody was expecting out of this, but Invulnerability was a step in the right direction to meet the standard of not babying our players, even if it didn't work as intended, it doesn't mean changes can't be made to make it 100%.

     

     

    But having safe zones never meant you were going to live. There were ways to get a player out of safe and it was more about your own honor as to whether or not you were going to die to poison/summons or to the enemy. But not having that safe zone, in my opinion, disrupts pvp severely.

     

    Think about it. Without a safe zone, there is no guarantee that a fight will emerge. The player will either die or find a way to recall and then it's up to the other city to go hunt them back down. WITH a safe zone, you can call backup for a better fight if there are way too many of them to keep running around, you can talk crap face to face (which I am only using as an example) to keep the fight continuing away from the safe zone, and most importantly you can stay in the same map and continue engaging in the fight if the balance sways too fast.

     

    This might sound like it doesn't make sense but it keeps the fights going! without a safe zone the fight eventually reaches a point where everyone recalls or dies and the only back up is getting a team together to hopefully hunt them down again.

    Safe zones aren't always the most "pro" idea in the game but it's APART of the game. without it it doesn't feel like hb and it changes pvp, in my opinion, for the worst. Safe zones are fun and keeps fights going. (THIS IS ALL IN RESPONSE TO NO SAFE ZONES, NOT TO INVULN).

     

    As for your main point, obviously we don't want to baby the players, but in my opinion this new invuln feature is more babying than safe zones. And why are we all of the sudden trying to make this HB pro? While skill should undoubtably play a large role in this game (as it always has) I don't think that we should be changing key features of the game to help a few minor problems. "cutting the umbilical cord" is completely unnecessary, this server should be for fun, like it's always been.

     

    I don't see the top eks getting weekly cash rewards, so why are we acting like this is some sort of e-sport all of the sudden.

    You make it seem as if you're deliberately exploiting this function as a way to protest a function you don't like.

     

    I think you'll find most people don't like having their opinions and votes being forced or manipulated, this will most likely backfire on you in regards to your desired outcome.

    How? It's a bad feature and as a consequence there is now a way to prove it's a bad feature. I don't understand this community right now. This new invuln feature takes away from much of the old pvp ways. Boxing has ALWAYS been apart of it, having safe spots to run to to take a breather (doesn't be ANY means mean you will live) has ALWAYS been apart of it, entering a new map/ getting in safe and getting screwed with summons and psn cloud has ALWAYS been apart of it, and unfortunately, shit talking will ALWAYS be apart of it. (I hate shit talking personally but there is no way to remove it and adding invuln definitely won't remove it).

  10. well, since a lot of people keep abusing the invul + lock tp system using boxes to lame eks and dont get punished, we can bring back the safe points ONLY to tp points but in a diferent way....

    let me explain=> make tp points as permanent invul ( once it goes, you get invul again like when you change maps), you cant get invul if you got damage in the last 10 seconds... the problem is that you need to give the new invul too fast, to prevent people spamming arrows or spells and stopping the 2nd invul buff.

    removing the invul and going back to the old safe system at every map is a NO, so just dont say it.

    Well I am going to say it. REMOVE the invuln system and go BACK to the old safe system. My honest opinion on this matter.

    I too am tired of these suggestions to make everything easier. I appreciate the input as it helps the community and game grow but I just can't agree with anything that makes the game easier than the way its been for over a decade. (like this awful new invuln system and the individual spell timers..) So I agree, you should unfortunately pay the price for accidentally chugging the pot.


  12. Basically, agree with everything Maynard said.

    I am quite sorry white but I hate the new invulnerability feature. I don't like anything about it(especially how it shows up even moving inside buildings and such) and I am 100% behind giving us back our old hb with safe spots, the possibility of boxing, etc. it's classic hb and that is how it should be kept, we like it that way.

     

    I gave this new feature the benefit of the doubt at first and I'm sorry but I strongly believe it should be removed. No hard feelings I just don't really like this feature


  13. Ok so i have no idea if this is related to the problem or if the server is just back up, but I reinstalled helbreath and I was able to get online on the first try. So yeah hopefully that resolved my issue, not sure though

     

    EDIT:: I see there is 50 people online so I am guessing the handshaking error is a server problem.

    So for anyone worrying about this being a client side issue, I am more than certain at this point if you have troubleshooted this issue through previous topics regarding this matter (White[GM] explains these steps to resolving this if it is on your side) that it is server side due to the attacks.
