    Hacker bans occur when a GM witnesses, first hand, multiple instances of hacking in game. Either on their GM, or other means. there is no other way to earn a ban. Screenshots from players help us target players for observation but will never be accepted as evidence and result in a ban. Why? too many variables to take into consideration. Player A hates player B so...edit some ss's to look like hacking. Player A is from south america and can often appear like theyre hacking when its lag. We also confirm our superson who isn't popularions and observations by checking the logs. I won't explain anymore about this..but we CAN tell.

     

    I say multiple observations because we like to be 100% certain we are right before banning a character. We dont LIKE banning anyone. It saddens all of us [except maybe Lunar lol] to have to delete a character, who invested time and effort into building something. But we do delete accounts and will continue to do so.

     

    I know, before I take a name to Lunar Or Nimda for a ban...i like to be 100% sure I am right and will usually ask another GM to observe the hacking as well.

    Some are so obvious...you only need to see it once to know it is a hack.

     

    And I can say with confidence...no one has ever been banned..who wasnt guilty.

    According to ScatGM and SexyGM, Lunar and Nimda,

     

    Screenshots will never be used as proof of hacking. Because there are too many variables that can effect a screenshot.

    1- someone could edit them

    2- might be a player off screen effecting the ss

    3- LAG is a great contributor to sometimes "hack" looking behavior.

     

     

    Persef has asked the GMs (Nimda) to check his logs and see if he was using hacks at anytime this evening.

    but i agree..someone should be the bigger person here and stop this now. Even if it means not posting back to provocative postings...just ignore it and let your behavior in game speak for itself.

     

    If both parties are willing...I will observer and supervise a duel after the item event tomorrow on Bleeding Island.

    This player will be watched carefully in the future.

     

    I don't know when people are going to realize how serious we are about eliminating hacks from the game. PLEASE stop using hacks. You will eventually be seen by a GM and have your account deleted. Lunar and Nimda are not playing around.

     

    Screen shots will not be accepted as evidence enough to ban someone...but they do help to alert us as to who to watch closely.

    Thanks very much for the screens. This will be looked into fully and if it is decided he did lame (which certainly looks like it to me here), he will receive the penalty that all lamers do.

    Yes..Scat is asking for proof...evidence...not that screens are and ever will be proof positive, but he can use the screen to then go look in logs for confirmation.

    Honestly,if he's hit while the full hero sprite is playing,it should be interrupted..

    Yes,lag could play a role...seeing as Canopus lives in Asia, which is no where close to where the server is located.

     

    Might want to test..hit someone while the full hero sprite is playing and see if they are 100% interrupted..if this is so,then he is hacking. (Preferably on a person from Asia,like Isabelle.)

    If Isabelle thinks he's hacking,he very well might be,because Isabelle also lives in Asia,therefore would have a better ping sync with Canopus.

    If they make racist remarks in game....please contact a GM and action will be taken.

     

    Sexy stated this will not be tolerated....as did LunarGM...so just let us know when it is happening.
