Actually nevermind, i found out that it has a 3 year manufacturers warranty and i'm going to ship it to them to fix it. Sorry for wasting everyones time.

I got this one from staples and didn't buy the warranty and i think it didn't come with any papers or warranty information. and its not burnt or stuck pixels because as the color changes they no longer have red stripes. It only happens after it has been in use and then either goes into power saving mode after the screensaver and is then woken up or after it is turned off and turned back on. Its not the pc itself either because when the monitor starts up when not attached to anything it should have a black background but instead has the red stripes in it and my video card runs at 40c. i think there is a bad chip that is sensitive to heat inside it because right now its perfectly fine after i turned it on for the first time today. And by any chance does someone know if acer has a return/repair policy? I guess there was a reason why it was on sale at staples:( should have went with newegg.com.

I'm pretty sure that's not what's happening. The color black displays red vertical stripes(its kind of like a pattern its 1 black pixel 1 red pixel 1 black pixel 1red pixel, etc.) i'm pretty sure its not burnt in and i don't stay in the game afk for more than a few minutes and i have a screensaver. I believe it is from heat generated by the internal components of the monitor such as the psu. I have also noticed that some of the other colors are effected too, but like i said after being turned off all night it returns to normal. Does anyone have an suggestions on how to cool my monitor i was thinking about cutting a hole in the back of it and connecting a pc fan to it but i don't know how i would power or control the fan.

My monitor recently developed a strange problem whereever the color is supposed to be black it displayes vertical red stripes. It appears as if it occurs after being in use for sometime then being shut off and turned back on or when it goes into power saving mode and then comes out of it. AFter the red stripes appear they do not go away for the few hours that i remain on the pc but the next morning it is fine. Or at least it was back to normal when i checked it today. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to fix this. I have an acer 22" lcd monitor its almost 2 months old and it does get kind of hot which I think could be causing the problem but even after it cools down for 15 minutes it still has red stripes. I don't believe it has anything to do with the pc itself because even the monitors startup screen is affected by the red stripes. Although i could be wrong.

How do you have 700? I can get 700 fps if i uninstall my driver for my graphics card on vista but on xp i get like 250 with hardware acceleration turned down. Am i missing a something? Is there somethiong else that needs to be changed other than hardware acceleration? I have an amd 9950n black edition clocked at 3 ghz and 4 gigs of ram at 1066mhz.

You have to shrink the vista partition in vista. Then install xp on the unallocated space. Then the boot manager will be messed up and You have to repair it with the vista install cd, i think you might have to do it in the command prompt thats the only way i got it to work. I think you have to first change the drive letter from x: to C: then type bootrec.exe/fixmbr and bootrec.exe/rebuildbcd (i'd google that first to make sure i'm right). Then you have to download easybcd and follow the instructions on this website http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_vista_a...ystep_guide.htm.

Yeah i just felt like doing it the hard way. I got it fixed though, i had the vista install cd. Still can't change the hardware accelerator :(

Redhat won't detect my onboard ethernet. Changing everything in ntune/nvidia control panel doesn't change it. And if anyone ever wants to get rid of a linux partition and has grub installed make sure u delete grub and restore windows boot manager before formating the linux partition if you don't want to spend at least a half hour trying to fix. Not including trying to figure out how to do it and finding a recovery cd.

I'm going to see if i can get more fps if i run hb on redhat linux. I'll also try to get a copy of xp and see if its a vista issue or a driver issue with the 9800gtx.

Actually if i uninstall the driver or the graphics card i get 400-600 fps and when its installed i get 62-230. is there a way to disable all the grphical processes other than through windows?

I am having problems changing my hardware acceleration. When i go into personalize/display setting/advanced/troubleshoot i cannot change the hardware acceleration level. It says the driver doesn't support changes to hardware acceleration. I have a 9800 gtx graphics card and have tried several drivers including the newest. If anyone has a solution to this problem can you please post it here. I am also running vista ultimate 32-bit.

is it worth having less vit/str/dex to have 50 mag for a warrior? Right now i have 200 dex 172 str 86 vit 60 int and 10 mag.

How much is the drop rate being adjusted, if you don't mind me asking? I'm only curious because i've been playing since february and haven't gotten any thing good from a monster i've killed. Is the drop rate better at 180 and do any factors effect drop rate such as contribution or rep? i've heard that they do and that they don't from different people but i want to know the truth, pls. I know its a little off topic sorry.

I know this is about mage builds but it was mentioned earlier about wars getting 50 mag why is that needed?
