Not sure why the ettin pit by mlm was removed in the first place, but I do know that when it was there control of the pit was hotly constested for! I reckon what we need is something to breathe new life into the server as it appears to be in decline again, from my experience ettins rarely drop anything anyways :rolleyes:

A valid point, but not the main one. The aim is to make an Ettin pit a focal point that will attract item and ek hunters alike, the result could be more ppl online.

Does 'Moha' = Medal of Honour Allied Assult?! Well, I chose the name Valkyrie for my character cus I'm a big fan of Norse mythology (and Viking movies). A Valkyrie can be defined as any of the maidens of Odin who choose the heroes to be slain in battle and conduct them to Valhalla. Btw, if ur into Viking movies, Outlander rocks!

Deals extra damage with freezing spells.

Valkyrie's Hot Tips to Hunting for Rares: 1) "If you hunt it, it will drop!" - This is meaning, hunt only 1 type of monster and eventually you get a decent rare drop. Lost count on the number of times I've hunted in WW pit and gotten flam+3 as a 2nd drop, when I could be hunting frosts or ettins and getting something really cool! 2) "It's not how long you hunt, it's how often!" - In my humble experience, most rares tend to drop in the 1st 15 to 30mins of a hunt. So if it hasn't dropped by then, you might as well go do something else and come back to it later. 3) "The faster the kill, the better the drop!" - A friend of mine just recently became FH, he goes to Icebound and trains in frost pit for 4 weeks, and BOOM, gets SB :o As for myself, 6 of the 7 rares I've found hunting frosts dropped within 6 months, when RODs become more readily available. 4) "Power is nothing without control!" - There's little point hunting say an Ettin with a BBH cus it has low hitting probability. A dk weapon might not hit as hard, but it does hit larger monsters more often, it also deals pretty decent damage when zerked. 5) "Park your char by the pit!" - It is my belief that the best time to hunt is as soon as you log on. 6) "Vit wars are best for hunting!" - I'm partial to a 158 vit war with 50 mag for this purpose, simply because you don't need to carry mp pots. Also, if you use a dk weapon, you rarely need to recall to repair it, so in a way, tips (4), (5) and (6) kinda work hand-in-hand. 7) Reputation and Contributions points - Some ppl claim they somehow help with drops, though I cannot confirm it. I'd suggest maxing these out just incase :blush: 8) Party Up! - Even if you're hunting by yourself, do use the /createparty command, you'll be 9% more likely to get a drop! PS> If you've been hunting for an hour and haven't gotten a single drop, try logging out of HB altogether and reloading, I normally tend to get a 1st drop within 5mins or so ;)

I got 64% alchemy skill and just tried to make Hair Style potion, comes up with a message saying "Alchemy skill is too low!". Details on the Nemesis Website state you require 60% alchemy skill to make Hair Style potion, is this some kinda bug?

1) Sword of Liche! Drains your opponents stamina on contact, dropped by Liches. URL=http://img266.imageshack.us/i/swordofliche.jpg/][/url] 2) Devil's Trap!! It's a manual, it's effect is mass paralysis, it can paralyse players and any monster for 1 minute, however the greater the monster the less chance the spell has of being successful (for instance, using it on Abbadon would have a 1:100 chance of paralysis, but on a demon would be 1:1), dropped by Demons.

I reckon we can handle alot more monsters in some of our pits than there are at the moment, especially the ones that deal out low damage. It would surely make these pits more enjoyable to hunt in, as it reduces the wait time for monsters to repawn. Gamers would also benefit from higher levels of experience points, plus it's great for those of us who practise alchemy ^_^

Would be useful to have a command which stops a character gaining experience, a bit like /createparty and /showtime, for those who want to remain in PL.

How bout increasing contribution points to 1000? Kinda miss quests :wub:

There seems to be an aweful lot of updates to benefit mages recently, but nowt for wars :glare:

Everyone I talk to seems to think HellFire is the best thing to happen to the game since sliced bread, and now that a manual has actually dropped, would be nice to see what we're all bidding for in action lol!

well not sure with that i would say yes maybe need it... i think is just like and ip neck or ie neck so who got efreet neck would be high price... :glare: I suppose since only 1 HellFire manual has dropped so far it won't be so bad, just avoid the player that eventually uses the spell! Thank goodness i'm Ares lol.
