  1. @kennychl: there's a difference between making things easier (more eks for a kill) and making things easier (a list of quests)...

    I think repair all button belongs to this second category rather then the first.

    It makes things easier, but doesn't make it that easy to be considered fruity.

     

    @Magazo: Hellfire exists in the original helbreath, I don't see why it's fruity at all... I've spent ALOT of time to completely simulate hellfire and sleep spell, they're brand new and different visual effects never seen or used before.

    Hell-fire is strong, but those who have it, payed the high price of obtaining it. (high price = spending ages in pits to get it or had luck at the abaddon)

     

    Lol, u think like an automaton....If sthing is done in HB original then its not fruity...otherwise it IS....

    I'll put up the suggestion in the staff room.

     

    The change that'll be suggested in staff room will be as next:

    - Add shield endurance reduction & stripping to AB spell

    - Add shield endurance reduction for every defensed or absorbed damage (when it defended or absorbed it'll reduce endurance - for absorption this'll be always as shield ALWAYS absorb)

    - Add shield stripping to hammers ability

     

    Personally I think all these 3 will even out the fix of PA (which caused slightly over-powering).

     

    Agree with the first 2! Stripping shields would be kinda fruity IMO.


  4. It'd be just cool if the cap was 10k now, we could take advantage on that and start questing to get ready...

    you'll make 10258320184 chars with 10k contri just to donate at the start of guild system instantly going to guild lvl 5 :P

    and we just don't want anyone doing that, we want ppl to WORK for it, not just get it for free.

     

    Wouldn't I have to work to get 10k contri on 12012014 chars? :wacko: , kinda nonsense your point but I'll respect it...


  5. i know pa shields now are correctly working, but is it normal to have so high pa :S? dk set+ pa24%+ shield wood/targe are sick ;S... i am not whining, i even got a pa36% targe and i think its abs so much the dmg when i get hit by 5 wars and best dmg they make is 30 s with crits or even low, and alots of -1. i would like to see peoples opinion. atleast my opinion is that pa shields atm are nerfed :/

     

    PA is too high generally in this server....that doesn't go for shields....but for DK armor as well.

    And the health points here are smaller

     

    Still the high PA makes a much more noticeable difference than just 90 health points...

    Ok first of all I'd like to say that I own a bmage one of few in game.

     

    I think there should be more variety of characters type in this server,and I have some ideas that will make ppl make more bmages.

    1.make illusin movment avilable for 112 int

    2.make mfs buyable in wizard guy or atleast make it alot higher drop rate my guild been hunting demons 24\7 and didnt get even one and its not that amazing spell.

    tell me what you think just an idea dont hate me lol xD.


  8. What I understood from some White's explaination is that at 180, every char has 90 hp LESS than in the rest of HB servers.

    Thats independant from the vit a char can have.

    For example with 130str/72 vit, 180 lvl I have 551 HP. Going back to the old formula would result on me having 641 HP, without any modifications on my stat. And so on.

     

    Got it, I misunderstood, thought the formula in which vitality (stat) is conversed to Health points was different to the "ordinary one".

     


  9. Hmm, I think that its fine now. I mean, some platemages/amp wars builds, if played correctly, are great and hard to take down. I mean platemages/amp wars as chars with no more than 112 int. Worm/AB users can be really annoying, and they already have a nice vit, even with 100 dex.

    Giving more vit to them wouldn't be wise imo.

     

    Bmages (blizz users, 104str-130strs for me) definetely shouldn;t have more vit than they have now. I mean, they have great damage, but their weakness lay at their low vit. Although 104str builds do have fair vit, 130str shouldn't enjoy that 90+ hp plus, it would be simply too much.

     

    By choosing these kind of builds, you are assuming that you will have a "strong" weakness, the vit.

     

     

    I dont know if its PERFECTLY balanced now, but its fine. I can grant you that a change in the formulaes like the one being asked, could be disastrous. Mainly, in the PVP of course.

     

    A different thing would be applying this change after a total reset. But it would be wrong for it to happen now, in the middle.

    Judging from previous experiences in other games, I can be sure it would suck a change like this.

     

    It's ok now, I agree on that, but without experiencing we can't judge how it'd be if the old formula was used, and it wouldn't mean +90 HP for everyone (I assume you took 90 as an average), the more vit you have the more it would increase with the old formula, so battlemages would increase their Health Points, but Pure wars and Mages would increase them even more, so it doesn't make it a Win-Win situation for the Battlemage/Hybrid.

    Its a very big change, that requieres A LOT of balance to be done in the middle of server life. This things have to be done in between a total reset of server, not in the middle...

     

    Besides, I really dont get how this could help the developing of hunts?. I mean, you wont hunt more because you have 90+ HP points at lvl 180 (Nemesis has 90- hp at 180 than the rest of servers). The deal is finding people, which is completely possible. I never really had someone saying: "I dont hunt, my vit is to low..".

    Theres always people willing to hunt, the newers one being the most. The problem is that they get excluded oftenly, because they are, precisely, new. (which involves teaching them, maybe ruining the first hunts, trust problems, fg or az problems, spy paranoia, etc, etc) So, if you want to help the hunting "issue" (I really dont see/live it), start from there.

     

    Its not as easy as saying, o well, we all get 90+hp at 180, so we make blizz hit 30-80 instead of 24-72 (or whatever), and we make whatever weapon hit 3d12 instead of 3d10... please...

     

    But it would sure increase the variation of builds (maybe many more ppl would choose to become Platemages/BattleMages/Amp wars).

     

    About the server balance thing, do you really think it's perfectly balanced now? I don't think it's THAT perfect for that change to affect the PVP experience...


  11. You can use VIRTUALBOX(free) for create a virtual machine, or u can install Wine(free), this programs runs win aplications in others SO

     

    I once used ubuntu and tried Wine, it sucks, because it emulates, which lowers the speed to 1/10 of the normal one...I had 40 FPS with the machine im using rite now and with windows I have 400+ FPS, As for MAC OS, I have NO idea....it resembles more to windows than Linux....but who knows...

     

    Oh and I use virtual box, and recommend it, it's REALLY useful, you can dedicate some GBs of your hard disk and use it to play HB...

I wrote this before u declined it, the thing we are trying to say is that in ROLE PLAYING GAMES (not mmorpg, which is massive multiplayer ONLINE Role playing games) you actually throw dices, with real dices, there are dices of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 20 faces you can purchase in stores, so in hb they put the word dice so ppl could understand it in an easy and standart way. What the HG server does to calculate de dmg is another story,( iDice variable is a random integer that works exactly the same way as a real life dice)

     

    never seen a dice with more than 4 faces TBH :blink:

    But it doesn't specify WHAT number each face implies. if it's an ABH to hit the maximum dmg you have to wait until the 3 dices show the number ten (face with this number)

     

    What I meant with the 1st part is that it never clarifies that face 1 = 1, face 2 = 2, face 3 = 3, etc...

  14. It's this way, a normal bbh damage against players is:

     

    3d8+1 = 25

     

    If it's sharp it adds 1 after the d so it ends up being:

     

    3d9+1 = 28 (if u upgrade to +1 with xstone = 29)

     

    And ancient adds 2 to the dice dmg so:

     

    3d10+1 = 31

    D comes from dice.. so its 3 dice of 9 faces if its sharp and 10 faces if its ancient in this case!

    It's completely correct the word, cuz it means you throw "x" times a dice (que significa dado) of a certain amount of faces, 3d10 means throw 3 times a dice of 10 faces, so u can get from 3 to 30 dmg. I dont get your point.
