    PR over 500% its said to prevent 100% paralyze, but it works 100%? Below 500%, does it prevent in some other % paralyze spell?

  3. I think buffs needs their own topic... A lot of people, including me, gave a lot of arguments against buffs icons, buffs timers, buffs WHOLE existence. I could certainly say that 99% of hb players, at least from nemesis, feel these things kills big part of fights. They are just wrong.. they go against HB spirit in many ways.. Historically, staff wont go back on updates, but I think this feature needs to be reconsidered seriously. IMO, they should be deleted 100% from game.. I dont see another way around this. Hope we can throw some arguments and make something out of it.

    I dont like this to start with. And EK is an EK, in pl, or outside it, why separate both raiding? Could be. I dont really care about this to be honest.. If there are rares its ok with me, if not..its the same. I just want to see action. Pl ek are not as easy as you think.. In fact, and from experience, someone has more chances of running away in pl than anywhere else. Lvl 140 limits a lot stat wise.. A worm mage wont inflict so much damage fast, the victim can run away pretty easely if he pays attention. A blizzard mage can do a lot of damage, but its exposed to die faster than any other PL build, if the victim is pfm its okay. From wars its even easier to escape.. Again, I dont like care-bearing changes.. If the final aim is to protect the new people and avoiding them to work out a way not to keep dying, then go for it.. but it wont help at all to develop a fun and fluent pvp scenario. I think its too much.. I do like Hero upgrades, but not this way. And EK is an EK, pl has its limits that applys to anyone staying there, 180 is another story, but the mechanics are the same. Skills are the same in both stages and I do think Hero sets are a reward for skills or effort (thats has its difference between them). Of course there are ways to "lame" it, but it will still happen even with all the new features you are trying to propose. I dont think this idea is terrble but I see many ways of being abused. What if players decide to make a hot area in purpose. Take a couple of chars there, from different people, and leave them to die, thus making a WW pit, for example, a safe area for X amount of time. Or what would happen at big fights? One taking place at Procella for example.. small map, 10 vs 10 lets say. Fight develops, I get 3 eks, the ones clearing the map win and stay there killings mobs. After a while, attackers come again and we fight again.. I kill 4 this time, then I lost 2 eks? That would be SO discouraging.. I really dont like these last changes that are being proposed. I wont get tired from saying it: People play this server because It respects the classic HB style. These changes go against its nature. HB is an agressive game, and its great. People DO get frustrated playing but its way more fun to play it. It has longest a learning curve than any other game out there. I've never enjoyed a game as I do with this one, and I remembered when I first stepped into this server I was dying constantly, my guild was dying constantly. I was a so called free ek running around, but that made me want to get better at it..

    La mayoria de los que votaron ya dieron su explicacion en este thread y en otros que trataron exactamente el mismo problema apenas se introdujeron estos cambios. Argumentos no faltan. Nose de donde venis, ni hace cuantos estas aca, ni tampoco me importa, pero date una vuelta por el foro de Nemesis 2 y vas a encontrar que se dijo mucho acerca de esto, y de otros temas, por supuesto. Di mi voto y realmente no tengo ganas de escribir de nuevo todo lo que dije un millon de veces aca, ingame, a solas con White.. quiza cuando las juntes (las ganas) copie y pegue lo que vine diciendo todo este tiempo.

    No.. you cant damage someone with invul, nor you can't damage anyone while being invul.

    3 F's are more than enough. Having more F's will just make things easier.. it kills the essence of pvp that places HB so far over most MMORPGs. Leave this care-bearing changes to shit games like WoW or MU online..

    Delete a friend buff is wrong. In that case you can use Cancel. Besides, learning to aim correctly is part of pvp.. You would cancel a buff a friend gave you under 2 circumstances: 1. He pfa/ds you instead of doing it to the enemy. Thats an error that can make a decisive turn in the fight. If you got pfa/ds by your friend you should wait until its gone, either resisting yourself, with your friends backing up or maybe the enemy dont even notice. 2. You want to re amp/pfm in a specific time. Timing has always been a vital part of fights. Not everyone makes it good, and the ones that do it can control the fight. Allowing it goes against the ones that learned, or not, to fight along the years and fosters crap fights. People backing up, or waiting behind to all get reamped at the same time.. Being unable to keep track of time of your enemy or introducing a "guess fighting" instead of a tactical fighting.

    Yes, by buffs I also mean invul buffs. Theres a feature for certain spells (defensives, and buffs spells) that have an icon at the top right of your screen that show their timing and what you are using. For example, you cast PFM on yourself, then you will see a pfm icon with a timer on it. You can also cancel them by right clicking them ONLY IF you casted them yourself or a friendly player. This way the old way of timing is sensless if your enemy can cancel his protection without notice, or when you can fight without any worry about your timing. Thats what, in addition to other things, made HB pvp so fun, the amount of stuff you have to pay attention at, and these are the kind of things that make a worse or better player. Its part of the acquired skill.

    Good news, sad of course, but good. Its been long time since I first started here and I enjoyed a lot. Made a nice group of friends, and fought great enemies. I will definetely play Nemesis 3, of course, I wont have the same time than before, but I will be part of it. It had me quite sad the present state of server, so I feel happy to know that staff is still willing to carry on with this project after so many years!

(Besides the maths he made, which maybe a wrong way to calculate it) The avearge you posted, White, means nothing when playing.. Fact is people without any kind of set, against HF with roam/dk15 gets hit for AT LEAST 500 points. Player with mr set gets hit for 250-300 many times. I dont think HF is overpowered by itself. We have to bear in mind that its a rare spell.. Today we find that 80% of the HF around were bought, and not only the spell, but the same people that bought HF also bought Zwand, Roam, maybe Liche neck, mps sets.. So we end up with an army of people with cash that bought the entire gear building the impression that HF is insanely overpowered..

    Agree with you at almost everything. I dont feel same about reset. Every other mmporg I played in the past had an unavoidable event to occur at some point: A reset. Its something "natural" of every game. With nemesis 2 people got used to the fact that a reset is practically impossible. It going to be what? 5 years of Nemesis 2? Thats HELL a lot time IMO. In every other game I enjoyed I knew that all the things I would do, all the items, gold, skills, eks, etc would dissappear sometime, and it was something everyone lived with. I dont know if the reset would save Nemesis, Can't say for sure if enough people will return to make server highly populated as before.. But I do know of many people that would come back, I know of people waiting for and asking for it, ready to start all over. Will it be enough or server will stay dead, can't tell.. But, server is already dead, face it. I log from time to time to see whats going on and NOTHING happens. About people that bought items.. no one pushed them to do it. And here comes what I said above.. people got used to the fact that Neme 2 WONT reset. If they knew from the beggining that it would reset at some point, maybe a lot people would avoid buying items.. Besides, really everyone prefers to keep safe those with massive items and $$$ spent on game, keeping a 10-15 user online server? I myself have a lot of items, done 3 char fhs, on those 3 have full equiped bags, high sets, etc and Im feeling that nowadays all those things have value ZERO. Are useless. All the effort I've done IS ALREADY DEAD. A Reset wont make it worst, i'd rather risk at this point.

    @sohai123: Your idea of more drops to conquer old players would only kill nemesis 2 even more, the noobs would stay in the beginning and get loads of sets and loads of rares... untill the 3rd gen discovers this and takes their bad-asses to the pits and farm themselfs 91% gears all the way, cuz they can, and still beat the noobs in group. This will leave exactly same situation then now, where you now got noobs with no items and 3rd gen with average 49% items and with your idea you'd get noobs with 49% items and 3rd gen with 91% items. Nothing at this point seems to be combatting the massive item issue we're facing, most of our updates make changes and make it easier for new people to get around, but it doesn't seem to keep them around. You can raise drops for items up to 42 or 49% only.. armour wise. As well as increase criticals, or sharp weapons drops, while not touching ancient ones. This way new players will get items to gear up. But it wouldn't help older players... everyone has already sets above 49%, no one cares on keeping 49% and below, but still, they are very useful..

    Know some mages that pvp without party with no trouble, its not that mages CAN'T pvp.. you should practice without party :)
  21. Let's see.. Example 1: While fighting you have to take decisions. If you raid with mages, and these are in a situation that cant amp you or they are dying, then you failed to support them (or you got outnumbered). Everyone know mages are first aim at fights, unless theres someone easier around.. If you decide to take pfm, its a risk you take, you shouldn't be able to revert that, why make it easier? Sometimes fights are won because of that, someone that took a pfm instead of amp.. Thats why its great to have a cancel mage with you also.. the fact that he can cancel your pfm or whatever.. Example 2: Again, mistakes that happens which can be avoided.. Once again, always making it easier when it doesn't have to. Wait the minute, or keep luring, or change lurer, or get canceled by a cancel mage and not a *censored*ing button. Example 3: I dont get it.. People have to learn to time theirself, dying is part of the game..If you failed to pfa between 20 dark elfs, or try to run, or die.. face it. Example 4: Again, risks you run while figthing. As before, things like this can decide the winning side on a battle. Once again, taking away one of the advantages of having a cancel mage on your side. If you pfaed a friend, then make everything for him to survive in the case he dies. It also forced you to train your hand and aim. Example 1 and 4 are two important aspects of PVP.. Why make it easier, its stupid the way i see it.. True, you don't really have to time yourself, yet you'd still have to watch the damn number on the icon in the corner, which can potentionally get your concentration off for a slim second. All major games like Guild Wars, World of Warcraft and many others have this identical system... you got used to them back there, get used to it having it here also. It's more of an advantage rather than adisadvantage. It also benefits the new players, it's less complicated for them to know which buffs they got on and how long they last. Never again will they ask "how long does pfm last?", because they can see it on the buff. They never got to time themselfs again. Timing yourself is from the ancient era, not of the today's. Anyway, if you don't like the buffs and prefer time yourself: "/togglebufficons" and you're settled, buff icons gone, never shown again for you. (P.S. use same command again to turn back on !) In my opinion it doesn't, because you still can't see the enemy's timer, you'd still need "skill" to keep track of your enemies time. Sure they can cancel their buff, re-cast, or fake-cast their spells. An enemy would be stupid to cancel his own buff in the middle of a fight. Re-casting also occured in the past, legit re-casts still occur in the present, no change here. fake-cast is also from the past, and remains in the present. It's called tactics and misleading your enemy to get the battle in your favor. If the manjority of the population do is worried so much about their enemy cancelling their own PFM or AMP spells, I can add an effect when they cancel a specific buff to show on-screen (same as when applying a buff, but rather a different effect visualisation where the buff is "removed" or "reversed"). Yet I don't see much issues in it, as once again, an enemy would be plain stupid to cancel his buff in the middle of a fight without having any purpose or tactics to attempt and mislead you in battle. WoW and those games are pure shit regarding pvp.. Helbreath has (had..) this thing that makes it great: a great pvp action. Timing yourself is essential in a fight.. But now you dont need to..Watching 1 second the number thats above you wont make you loose concentration. New players have to learn to time theirself, its a basic from the game. Besides "the today's" game sucks dicks, this is why I always kept playing HB, because it was from the "ancient era" and had the best pvp action ever.. Turning it into WoW or some shit like that its so wrong.. If the majority of the population is worried about this, you should consider eliminating from game directly. This buffs changes are tools to players to make stupid fights occuring nowadays more stupid.

    Reset Is Not An Option?

    Cant bring players that easy, server is boring as hell. Yesterday I logged to see if I could fight some ares.. spent 1 hour at ares city after raiding maps and found no ares willing to fight. The ones that appeared ran into WH or shop.. I log and get bored, nothing to do, thats why I ain't logging no more... And like me, there are thousands of similar cases. Vicious circle: Get bored --> stop logging --> low population --> get bored. One things its true: its perfect time for new players to start. But, why would they? Who wants to start a server with 20 online, 15 afk? Maps are empty, chats are dead, I even prefer a chat full of shittalk but alive.. Server needs a restart. Want to keep pushing this situation? Since last bigger update nemesis kept sinking. It had times where future was uncertain, like when Argentinian server appeared, and it endured.. But now, lol, theres no chance. You know what else helped this situation to get worse? Arrogance, pride. Thinking that this server is unquestionably the best. Not assuming that server HAS a big problem, and keep insulting other server that have better features in some aspects. Always playing the card thats this server been online for 890 light years. Also kept saying: "if you dont like how things are done here, go somewhere else.", well, sometimes its better to listen to the ones that play your server.. people did as said, they left, and many left angry. And I say everything of the above with all the "love" I have to this server, but the present situation its unecessary. Why fear so much a reset? Server was stable before the last update, what happened in the middle..?

    Skill Progress Bar

    Is there any chance that something like skill progress bar could be implemented? It would be nice to check how much is left for skill such as blacksmith, alchemy, or taming (this one after 70% it gets slow and dull if you are alone). Or maybe some countdown on how many more items you need to do, or mobs to tame.. dunno, whatever it shows the progress.
