  1. I see. I'll tinker around with it, I guess worse comes to worst I can always just change my desktop reso.

Thanks for the help, guys. And yeah, Dark Souls ftw. Just got done with the stress test for the sequel last night, it's going to be amazing.

  2. Appreciate the info, I have it working smoothly within VB. My only problem now is that it's running @ 640 in a tiny window. Pretty awesome, though.

My screen goes from this adorable thing:

and when I stretch to scale (or really, move it larger at all):

    Any ideas? lol

  3. alk your rage is kind of absurd. yes, people understand where you are coming from, but how are you supposed to ban macros when keyboards come with that functionality out of the box?

my $20 keyboard allows me to reprogram all of my keys on 3 different layers, including the ability to set a macro behavior to each individual key. I don't use it for HB, personally, but I could totally understand someone wanting to. with all the possibilities in-game, I seriously doubt Siementech devs would disagree.

    reconsider your standpoint imo

  4. I've been trying to get Nemesis to run under WINE for awhile now, but it doesn't seem to work no matter what I try. Anybody else using a Linux distro to play? I can get official servers to load just fine, but Nemesis auto patcher just force-closes.

Using WINE and PlayOnLinux with Linux Mint 15 (Olivia). Have tried all config options within WINE itself, including limiting emulated desktop resolution to 640x480. I am able to get the auto-updater to install, however booting it within WINE or PlayOn causes it to crash. Mono is up to date, so I don't think it's related to .NET compatibility, however here is a snippet from the debugger loaded on crash:

    [11/08/13 06:48:58] - Running wine- NemesisAutoUpdater.exe
    fixme:mscoree:parse_supported_runtime sku=L".NETFramework,Version=v4.0,Profile=Client" not implemented
    fixme:mscoree:CLRMetaHost_GetRuntime Unrecognized version L"v4.0"
wine: Install Mono 2.8 or greater for Windows to run .NET 4.0 applications.

Confusing, as I have Mono 3.5 right now.

Any help would be appreciated, I hate having to boot into Windows just for HB. :)

  5. Elite Mage spawned in ML last night, too.

I love it. I think the colors could use some adjusting, but overall the tiered mobs work well and I'd love to see some cool NPC quests like you mentioned. Make the EXP and drop rate scale accordingly and you've got yet another great idea that sets Nem apart from the rest of the trash servers, including official at this point..

  6. I hear jimmies rustling from all directions. Well, as a relative newb (to Nem 3 anyway) everything seems fine aside from the server population and exp dropoff at ~120. I've had a ton of M stone drops, ~49 statted shields/rep7 weaps. I still think 70 players is a decent amount, but it should be much higher during sades.

this all seems like it will be moot once the PvP changes that White announced are released, since maxing should become a lower priority. PL raiding just isn't worth keeping a character at 140, actual arenas and tournaments etc. would definitely make this server appeal to newcomers a ton.

    just my .02

  7. lol... HBINT, no idea what year, I was like 7th grade then and still on dialup dealing with Koreans.. level cap was either 120 or 140.. wo-long ruled supreme with the battle axe, NidoQueen/NidoKing ran around killing in tandem, TheBoy was the only real bmage around and was impossible to kill...lol, good times. And I remember that abaddon rampage as well, hahaha I was right in the middle of it, pretty sure I lost some armor that day.

Became friends with Snow & Preciouz. Preciouz developed (dunno if it was the only one) dupe/lag hacks, Snow hacked the source code to HB and spawned the private server scene.

Still occasionally talk to Kane, of HBKane fame. Played MOG back in the day, didn't really like it too much. Played USA a tiny bit, was really boring. Played a lot of privates off and on... arrived here somehow. Nemesis is the most well-run private server I've seen, thus I remain here.

    loool...memories :/
