  3. Okay here is the deal. I need to know how to become popular in this server and make myself known. Why? Well because I need to borrow a kickass MP set for my battlemage so i can powerlvl him faster to get dk+ wand and sword shit. So post your tips please :lol:

     

    Disclaimer: I don't really care about being popular online. I just really need MP items :P


  4. WTF is up with this drop system. I'm not expecting mass rares, but I never get anything better than an mr21 shield. I kill rudies for an hour, I kill WW the next day for an hour, and I used to kill DE but the pit I used is filled with gargoyles now. When I lure the gargs away a new one spawns.

     

    I no longer have enough time to play a video game for an hour a day, I can only squeeze in an hour a week if I'm lucky.

     

    So is there any way I can kill like 3 monsters and get a bad *censored* drop? I used to kill demons with help from a friend and the best we ever got was 5k.

     

    What is the secret to getting a good drop besides no lifing?

     

    And yes I know its noob to whine about having shitty items, but w/e.


  5. Ok Im going hunting with these stats:

    130 str

    200 dex

    59 int

    50 mag

    rest vit

     

    and I have a friend who has a support char with stats like:

    104 str

    112 int

    200 mag

    50 dex

    rest vit

     

    If he constantly keeps me healed and zerks me, can the two of us take down a gargoyle, or should we stick to demons? We are looking for good drops.


  6. Personally I'd like it if we could delete characters at players request (only after an email from the account owner though), but I can see a lot of problems (from our end) of having such a system.

     

    It's a free server, just make a second account (Does suck about the name loss though - but ultimately its to stop sharers deleting peoples chars!)

     

     

    I didn't know it was in place to stop people from *censored*ing up shared accounts. I understand it now. Time to make a new account :lol:

     

    With one less cool name :angry:

  7. I think lvl 180s should be allowed in PL since no one fights there now since the barracks will get you to 180 in a few hours.

     

    If 180s were allowed to fight in PL, we wouldn't have to stomp around all over ML for some good pvp. There are so few players on this server, its hard to get a good fight going.

     

    Just my opinion though <_<


  8. i play a pate mage with these stats

     

    104 str.

    195 int.

    50 dex

    180 mag

    75 vit

     

    its a fun char. to play, but you need good Fps or war. kinda kick your but.

     

    i like those stats. When you fight mages, especially vit ones that gs comes in handy right? I'm kind of worried 50 dex might not cut it anymore, since some dk armour seems like pure titanium. thanks for stats

    What i have to say is maybe we can put a fire effect...

    Think about it.... Fire Field and fire wall is pretty good

    but we can maybe add a *censored*e to the new element (Fire)

    This effect will lower your hp 1-4 during an amount of 15 secs =)

     

    I hope you guys like it :D

    that would be nice, but it would be more helpful for wars if firebow had a chance of adding burn dmg. this way a mage would have to pfa themselves every now and then, meaning they are left open for para.

     

    none of the bows need any more damage then they already deal, they're not intended for mowing down people, they're ment to aid in hunting (fire bow should be removed imo, or at least fixed, it's so stupid seeing somone para, then pull out bow and shoot the war next to them and then have para broken, that is just bullshit) the reason bows don't do siginificant pvp damage is this; if 5 warriors had bows, and could hit 50's-70's with crits, they will rape mages all day, full screen attack... can't cast.. .game over.

     

    Not what i was saying. I agree that you should not be able to kill someone with a bow, just annoy the shit out of them. I'm saying if there was a small chance of a burn affect from a firebow that worked like poisin, then more mages might actually have to pfa themselves instead of run and screen and cast blizz and wait for u to chase them. pvp would be more interesting i think

     

    i dont use firebow so I also don't have too much base to talk on, im a direction bow guy myself.

    BaggyBoyX i kind of disagree. The only spell worth having on this server is blizz, all the others are useless for killing people. It would be cool if lower spells were more dangerous, because then there would be more types of character builds imo.

    i always kill things for such a long time, a small piece of armour drops and its always something with an ungodly amount of endurance. the few times i dont get to examine it or pick it up is because something kills me, then im always left wondering if it was any good :angry:

     


  12. There is no way to cast while wearing a shield, but what CutePanda described is called "Shieldcasting".

     

    It's just a term people use, hope that clears it up!

     

    yeah and that is a really helpful thing to know. it kind of separates a good dex mage from a noob mage who just eats crits. you can save yourself alot of hp doing this.

    exec: i actually agree. fencing does blow. there is just something that seems so cool about holding a tower shield and hitting people at the same time. i have an ancient rapier and an esterk and i dont hit shit with them. and when i do the damage is laughable.

    -dk15 wand, does the magic itself do more damage? or when i hit people with the wand it does damage?

    -i agree completely that you should get stats you know you can play. 50 dex and 130 str, you think i could do good damage with a dk 15 sword? does dk 15 sword have good hitting prob.

     

    chips: good idea about the claymore, but since im so close at that point to 91, i think i would want to get the extra defence from the dk plate. and then spend the extra 4 stat points for more dmg from gs. i honestly forgot the claymore was even part of the game :P lol

     

    jing: with 170 would the reduction in blizz damage be serious? also i posted in your suggestion forum with my opinion. im also tryin to think about some other ideas to make yours more realistic :rolleyes:

    the bane of a battlemages existence is his low vit. Im not planning on getting hit too much, but from my previous battlemage i know one blizz almost took him out. however, 1v1 against a war the dk plate helped alot. 1v1 against a mage i could always keep the pressure on them by attacking with gs or a spell. in bigger fights i would get targeted cuz of my low vit, so i would try and support.

     

    here is where im at now thanks to your inputs:

     

    130 str for dk sword and i get dk plate.

    169 for meteor strike(i could kind of do dmg to piss a warrior off), the 130 str with dk sword could also help me

    50 dex *maybe 100? to increase hitting prob, and decrease me getting hit

    150 mag *would i do good meteor damage?

    98 vit

     

    with the above build, i could rape mages easy, but i have a feeling against a war who knows what he is doing i wouldnt be able to do much damage.

     

    104 str ill use some sorta statted gs and i still get plate

    195 blizz

    150 mag

    50 dex

    98 vit

     

    with this build i can rape mages again, and still *censored* with warriors. however i dont know how much dmg blizz does with 150 mag. and i wouldnt be able to cast blizz like a nutcase because of low mana.

     

    also 50 dex against a mage with 50 dex and dk armour. i doubt i would hit often. with my other battlemage i didnt hit often, but i hit enough to keep em moving so i guess that counts ^_^

     

    any other input would be appreciated. thanks again for your ideas!

     

     


  14. interesting suggestions everyone. i would like to point out a few things:

     

    PLAYER SKILLS PEOPLE. that is a very big factor in deciding what needs to be beefed or nerfed. i think many people say things suck or are unbalanced because it requires a little work from them to make it work. for instance:

     

    with a pfm war, 50 mag, i never fear any mages. just time my pfm right, and then it is only a matter of time before the mage is down. some like to waste their blizz while im pfm, but w/e, it is only slight annoyance ^_^

     

    when im a mage, i think that tactics are a little more hit and run :ph34r: . i usually start off with pfa, then blizz and para. the biggest thing here is patience also, shield after you cast, dont start to cast if he is gonna catch up to you and hit you because you cant afford to waste hp.

     

    for any class, you have to be persistent, dog the ek. i see so many people attack in pl, they dont kill them right away, so they invis and run. nothing wrong with the system, you are just lazy. i also see people who fight for the ek, only to have the person pull. something needs to be done about that.

     

     

    now onto low level spells:

     

    the cool thing about beefing up low level spells would be that battlemages would be more common and even warriors would be able to mix up their stats since certain low spells could do enough dmg to make them pvp worthy.

     

    bad thing is, when a mage runs outta mana for blizz, he is gonna start spamming the other weaker but still dangerous spells to finish you off. that means mages are stronger than before.

     

    maybe if spells were beefed up, people with 195 int, 200 mag should have some sort of lower defence or their dk armour should not be as strong or something. i will admit it is annoying that someone with 50dex, and a tower shield can make half my crits miss, and the others go -5, -5 ,-10.

    not everyone has a full hero set :angry:

     

    or, you could lower the level limit to 140 to make everyone have more extreme stats. that shit would be so much fun :D

     

    also, i think making the fencing class more useful as well as baxe class more useful could make pvp more interesting.

     

    EDIT: Oh, and fix meteor strike. that spell should do a good bit more damage. i miss the good ole days of meteor strike mages. 169 int means u have some extra points for other shit :)


  15. Uh i wanna make a platemage or battelmage thing. On the old nemesis i had

    195 int

    200 mag

    104 str

    50 dex

    rest vit

     

    it worked well. the low vit was annoying if i lagged, or i was caught when i was not amped. or when 4+ warriors would dump crits on me. i wanted to know if there was a better platemage to make?

     

    it doesnt even really have to be a platemage, i was thinkin about 62 str or 40 str, and using a high hp fencing weapon to beat the shit outta mages, and then just blizz warriors.

     

    ive seen people with stats like 195 int, 130 mag. do u do good blizz damage with 130 mag? post your ideas plz :D
