  1. OMG!!!! Stop bitching about the damn thing: "no hero set", "no SB", "no shields", "no mshield", "no MIM"...

     

    Why dont u just go out there naked and fight just with hand attack? Oh wait... "no hand attack either, that would be unfair for those who doesnt have 100% hand skill"

     

    Cmon ppl... just play the damn event and have a little fun

    How is this constructive at all? Why is it when people try and discuss gameplay settings or in this case event rules, it is bitching and not brain storming? Keep your generic dumb responses 2 urself until you have something constructive to say.

    Back on topic. I can deal with no activations, although I do think they should be allowed. My main concern is the issue of PFM/Shields. To me its either both should be allowed, or neither should be allowed, either one would make it a little more reasonable.


  2. Well ive become bored and irritated, so I started playing around with my client and found a way to boost fps by around 100 for vista users, assuming you dont have it so angels cripple ur fps. Right click your client, and hit properties. Then at the top tabs hit compatibility. Then where it says "run this in compatibility mode" hit run with windows 2000. Gave me 100 more fps, hope does same for you.


  3. Well thats just ignorant, you cant inflict damage while wearing a shield, unless you plan on rapier'ing them down. Warriors cant pfm but mages can sit there and with tower and mshield. Maybe you can do those rules for mages v mages, but if a warrior is involved he should be able to pfm, or there should be no shield.

I am going to poison the drinking water of the next person to say "this is not street fighter, its not a 1v1 game" 1v1 SHOULD BE POSSIBLE. 1v1 is an aspect of the game, as is group fights, u make what you want of the game. On your suggestion, this is VERY true, warriors pvping warriors is next to pointless. However, I do not think the problem lies is mshield, mshields are a little bit overpowered, but the main aspect is DK. Dk sets have way too much pa and defense, causing the gross imbalance among the classes. I can go into several different reasons that cause the imbalance, but I am really not going to waste my time cause nothing will be down.

    Heres a little recap of problems I have seen causing imbalance between mages and wars.

    - HP has been decreased, which on the surface seems ok, but when a mage is using dk+8 or higher, with ROGM *not that rare* they can hit around 400 damage, 2 direct blizzes and nearly any warrior will die. Even if the warrior is PFM'd, 2 mages spamming blizz is more than enough to cause that warrior to chug pots.

    -Para time. 15 seconds? By the time you actually para the individual, spike, do whatever is necessary that individual only has about 12 seconds of para to evade death. If it is a fair numbered fight, unless you catch someone in a leather with para, they will not die. I HIGHLY suggest you make para 25 seconds. Why? para used to be 45 seconds and it was fine... Why was it ok? Para is in no way hard to evade *1x1 spell, can cast in firewall, time your amp*, and even if you do get parad, it is VERY easy to get out of.

    - Lower DK pa/def, clearly overpowered, not much else to say, it ruins warrior v warrior, and causes the gross imbalance between classes.

    -Mshield is 2 powerful and 2 common.

     


  5. Completely agree with Exec. I would highly recommend you have 2 arenas with people fighting, and split each arena in half so that there are 2 fights going on at once. **this may cause problems, may have to make use of near all the arenas** Then have a separate arena for people waiting to fight. Just a suggestion.


  6. Nice PvP. Wish I videod one I had cause it was just blatantly funny. Was me *i usually use Citi, but was on Lollipop* and Alright vs 2 scrub from aresden, I believe they were in Inner Sanctum. So Lollipop and Alright vs 2 Inner Sanctum, War and Mage vs War and Mage, they were talking a whole lotta trash before the fight, offering to duel for accounts, sets, etc. So we finally just agreed to fight for fun, within 5 minutes there mage dies off my para and Alright critting him down. For about an hr and a half the warrior just ran 10 screens 2 pfm, me and alright just ended up recalling cause he couldnt scratch us and due to our fps/ping we could rarely get him pfa. Was just funny watching them talk so much smack and getting owned so bad.


  7. Raising damage is not the answer, changing dk/blizz/ other aspects of mages is. First of all, DK's PA is wayyy 2 high, 1v1 war v war a warrior can decide not 2 die, and no amount of skill can change that 1v1. Ok if you wana say this isnt a 1v1 game *its as much a 1v1 as it is group* try killing a max war with 4 other max wars, fun time. Then on the other end of the spectra mages are just flat out rigged. With tower and mshield and dk set, the only way you are dying is against a large group of people, and if you suck. Killing people, easy, ridiculously easy, blizz can smack around 350-400 dmg, more than half d chance that warrior will die from 1 cast a piece., if he does survive, blizz freeze is like 5 sec, gl getting away. I could go into greater detail but the only way a warrior could even be mediocre is by a GREAT mr set or decent ma set, and even then ab is -30. This server is designed for warriors to fail and be the obvious inferior class, class balance is non existant. I could rant all day but the bottom line is nothing will get changed, the vast majority of this server are mages, and they will never allow a chance for real pvp, real talk.


  8. I never said I expect to have a 1v1 raiding the opposite town. But if in a 1v1 they happen to call 6 guys, little overkill, I basically have no chance to survive other than recall. Quite frankly I dont see it any differently than if I could recall, recall is easier 2 stop, and then u can still camp the individual.


  9. Enemy town ill log if it happens. I shouldnt have 2 look for another server 2 find a fair fight... Oh and if you wanna say "well this is MMORPG" nowhere in there does it say that PvP is solely group, or solely 1v1. Just cuz its mass multiplayer in no way means that it is ok 2 bum rush people.


  10. Well you gotta consider warriors will be getting ampd by their teammates, during this time mages will be taking just pure dmg. Still tho, warriors will only be able to hit mages while they are casting, and casts will prolly only occur every other minute for amp. If a group of warriors sucessfully teams up on a single mage at a time, there can be havoc. But I still give the advantage to mages. Personally, I dont plan on taking my IP neck off the entire fight and I am going to carry 2-3 emmy rings, I still plan on getting mowed down tho.


  11. Quite frankly I am to the point where I dont see a problem. If I am fighting someone 1v1, or close to even odds and they call an entire guild in elvine, I pretty much have no other option to log out. Recall pads just lead to you getting gang banged, by guards and summons. Safe zones are typically pretty far away, and as a warrior, if im constantly frozen with 8 guys on me there is no way I am getting away. I dont know why we are discussing changing logging before changing recall, logging you have 10 seconds to hit them, recall all it takes is 1 cast for you to officially have wasted your time. On the subject of pulling, it sux, and I have been trying to think of a reasonable solution for ages, simple fact is there is none.
