Game Update 27/09/2014

After the big tournaments update recently we promised more content, and today we're fulfilling that promise and bring you some awesome new stuff !

 

You've probably seen new sprites (npk files) being downloaded, this was all in preparation for the update of today!

 

 

1. Dark-Elf Bow rework: We have obtained the proper Dark-Elf Bow sprites. It no longer looks like a short bow but has its own graphics now.

 

2. Death Force Bow: A rare activation item that will knock back your enemies with every little shot!

This powerful bow can be activated every 20 minutes for a period of 60 seconds.

To equip this bow you require 50 STR, 65 INT and 20 CHR.

The bow is a rare drop from: Dire Boar, Beholder, Giant-Lizard, Master-Mage Orc and Twin-Warrior

- Side note: Dire Boar had its 2nd drop rate increased to make them a very good candidate to hunt the new bow. (A pit of Dire Boar exists in Icebound !)

3. Summoning Potion Looks: The Ogre, WW, Demon and Unicorn potions has their looks improved and look much better now.

 

4. Earth Protection & Elemental Necklace Looks have been improved as well. They no longer user existing re-colored looks but have their own distinct looks.

 

5. Stone of Kloness: A new stone has been uncovered. In the near future Perry will trade certain items for this stone.

The stone will protect the item you're upgrading to +4 or higher.

Upon failure of upgrading the item you will not lose it, but it'll be downgraded back to +0.

 

6. Blessing of Kloness: A new potion has been brewed. In the near future Gandalf will release the recipe and required Alchemy percentage to create this item. (Meanwhile you can start speculating, or even trying to make this potion yourself !)

When the potion is eaten all confusion, illusion and illusion movements (yes this includes mim !) will be instantly removed.

Along with this the potion will also provide a 50% decreased damage from activation items for 15 seconds. (yes, this means xelima activations only take 25% health instead of 50%)

 

7. Goblins: 3 unique distinct (treasure) goblins. One with a Red Bag, another with a Blue Bag and the third one carries a Green Bag.

Goblins are fast and greedy. They will steal any items near them if they get the chance.

They're not aggressive upon first encounter, but once provoked they will turn against you.

 

Although they seem like little green creatures, they do use very powerful magic spells such as Meteor Strike, Blizzard and Earth Shock Wave!

Goblins live throughout the Dungeons Lv 2, 3 and 4 as well as Middleland and Promiseland.

 

These little green bastards are well worth killing as they can drop ANY statted item (yes this includes BH, GiS, BSS, Plate Mails and capes!)

If their primary drops don't convince you, they also have a decent arsenal of 2nd drops that are well worth it:

- Goblin Necklace: When worn, you don't require Stamina to run!

- Goblin Ring (HP/MP/SP): Increase your Maximum HP/MP/SP by 20. (The goblins drop HP/MP/SP depending on their bag color, Red = HP; Blue = MP; Green = SP)

- Superior Goblin Ring (HP/MP/SP): Increase your Maximum HP/MP/SP by 50. (The goblins drop HP/MP/SP depending on their bag color, Red = HP; Blue = MP; Green = SP)

- Merien Chain Mail: Just like the plate mail equivalent, this is the mage-friendly merien item. With a whopping 40DR this chain well-exceeds the DK chain in DR.

- Ice Protection & Elemental Necklace

- Cancellation Manual

 

Goblins can also leave behind some of their items such as their Belt, Hat, Bracelet or Bag (with each goblin leaving its respective colored bag)

8. Mixed Goblin Ring and Mixed Superior Goblin Ring: If you manage to obtain all 3 (HP/MP/SP) Goblin or Superior Goblin rings, then Perry will be trading the 3 rings for a single mixed rings which has the effect of each individual ring combined into one ring.

 

9. Jewelry and Angel map restrictions: GMs can now restrict the usage of Jewelry (necks, rings & magin gems) as well as Angels. This restriction will prove useful in PvP Tournaments.

Other minor patch notes are as following:

* Added: Fishing Rod now shows its remaining Endurance.

* Added: Stat Gems display Category.

* Added: Stat Gems display Stat Level.

 

* Changed: Characters are now sorted by last login date in the character select screen.

* Changed: Reconnect now has an automatic 1 second delay to avoid Character in Use screen.

 

* Fixed: Invisibility and Berserk could not be casted on friendly targets with PvP disabled.

* Fixed: Force-unequiping items sometimes didn't properly put the item back into the bag.

* Fixed: Double loading of pvp tournament list.

* Fixed: Certain items could not be equiped with the rare-item map restriction.

* Fixed: Guild Level 5 couldn't buy more member slots.

In the near future we will be adding some additional features related to the ones above:

- Perry trading (for the Stone of Kloness and Goblin Rings)

- Blessing of Kloness Recipe reveal

- Range-Heal magic spell (with new graphics) - a 3x3 AoE healing spell!

- Holy-Spear magic spell (also with new gfx) - a magical spear that can stun the enemy for 1 second (int * 0.1% chance to stun)

- More secret, not to be revealed items :) - this is VERY exciting and you'll love it :D

Goblin bracelet, belt, hat and the 3 colored bags are the body parts of goblins.

They are used in trade with Perry (coming soon) and perhaps have to do with the blessing of kloness potion...

Perfect, one thing, goblins spawns are not being marked on mini map

 

Are you referring to the big spawns like you get ettin spawns or skeleton spawns on your *censored* from time to time? or rather the 2~5 mobs that spawn randomly throughout almost all maps?

Goblins cast magic but dont make dmg .. Only blizz frozen me - that was the max effect of mass magic combo made by him!

 

btw any1 got any primary drop from that fellaz ?

Love this update! Ctrl+N (Neutral attack mode) did not work for me on the Goblins, though.

 

I think someone got a statted cape from them already, but can't remember what.

Goblins turn into enemies once attacked anyway...

 

And yes, there were some capes dropped and some other items :)

we cant use Taming in Goblins :D... not yet?

Goblins can't be tamed and idk yet if they ever will be since their unique mechanics to steal items from the floor.

My drops from Goblins so far:

- Hp21 Cape.

- Dr21 Cape.

- Many N/S Cape.

- MS20 cp15 hp49

- GOLD! Lots and lots of Gold!. It seems to be that these creatures have the highes gold drop rate among others within Hb :P
