New Rare Weapons That Are Bound To A Char

If not every rare is for sale, it could make gaming in general and hunting in particular more fun!

 

Take Sword of Medusa for example, yes it's overpowered, but if it is bound to a character that power can be controlled. Also, the fact that the weapon cannot be sold, unless the account containing the character that wields it is sold, would make it all the more desirable.

Binding Items with benefits (all those found from drops) is a bad idea.

When you're raiding, you've secretly hoping someone would have forgotten his zem and drop his precious items.

If we make such items bound to the character, your hopes are shattered, resulting in zems being redundant as you can no longer drop items. Also the market would instantly stop, you no longer are able to trade those items, so there will be nothing left to be traded at all.

 

If you want a system of bound or semi-bound items you need to handle players like NPCs in PvP aswell, also resulting in zems being obsolete. You could receive a random chance for a random item (as if you killed an npc) when you kill a player, in such system zems have no longer any use and people would no longer lose their items upon death. It would improve PvP as people will go out to fight, not having to think about losing a zem or losing items from their inventory, just their honor can be shattered.

A System like this ain't bad if done right, but would overhaul PvP'ing and chance the PvP Gameplay.

Is it possible that when the item initially drops (from a monster) it is initially useless and has to be semi-bound by a GM before it can be used? Therefore, the item CAN be dropped if the character is killed and not carrying a zem? In which case the item returns to its originial unusable state until it is again activated by a GM.

no 1 gonna enter in server with "30 on" max , and all have 2 rare or some . 0 fights. ... active here active there ... HF cancel ... new players just do alt f4 and look another server with decent items... If server reset all gonna come back and will be a server with 100 actives . all in another server are just waiting for reset. server with 8 years here now is the best time to do NO OTHER SERVER GONNA OVERPASS THE QUALITY OF THIS FACKING SERVER.

Restarting is a bad idea.....we just need ways to get more players

We're working on ways, but not all are showing success at this point in time.

We're also working on improved systems such as auto-reconnect and trying to find solutions for those who still face handshake problems with our auto updater security protocol.

 

But basically, resetting now is indeed a bad idea. There is no reason, except for players who QQ all the time " I'm too noob to avoid PvP and hunt my own rares before I engage in PvP against people with rares "

We make Helbreath for the people who are here, not for the people that can would possibly maybe come back if we would do a reset. It's nowhere written or ensured that people would maybe possibly return to play if we reset, nothing proves it, nothing makes this 100% sure.

We'll take your word if you ensure us somehow (e.g. donate 10.000$ to nemesis which we return if you keep your word or keep if you break it) that we instantly get back that population when nemesis 2 started (the 250+) and lasts for the same period (8 years).

Anyway, don't take the previous thing seriously, i'm just trying to point out that we at nemesis don't take a gamble that maybe possible some amount of random players would possibly maybe sometime come back to play.

 

And also true, no other server can ever overpass what nemesis does and did in the past, we're the longest running private server and have the least amount of resets or owner changes in history of private servers. It's impossible to overpass this.

I don't really understand what you mean?

and item drops, you pick it, but need to choose to bind it or keep it (for trading? dropping on death?).

So again here we face the issue, the item becomes bound, cannot be dropped, all people can possibly drop is the items they keep in their inventory that they'll possibly trade or consider junk... so if you manage to kill someone who doesn't have a zem, you'll get crap items anyway cuz all their good awesome items are bound to them.

 

Yet again reflecting to your initial idea, i don't see why the items would be bound? you talk about sword of medusa, if you like a sword of medusa, i can tell you it'll never enter the game unless a balance has been performed in how activations work. Even then I can't really ensure it'll come back to the game as it is a weapon of power that dominates all others and becomes the shit if you combine them all together, it always results in death, there is no way to escape that power combination.

Too much items in server to get newbies stay in server. And that's the reason server has so few ppl atm. No new people -> player amount goes down. And that's a vicious circle. Would u start in a server with few massively geared people ?
