Recommended Posts

I thinki remnber, but i dunno if i am correct. I think with like 100% of the skill u coulda put items ancient+2 or something like that. and with less u could put for example a giant sword from bs sharp. but i am not sure if is this xD

He's talking about monster taming.

I don't know if I like the idea of taming monsters really. Would you be able to /tgt with the tamed monsters? Would the current bugged summoning system be used with this?

You should fix summoning first before thinking about this one.

The best taming system I ever saw was the Ultima Online one. Having a 100% tamer at that game was one of the most wicked things.

In fact, the char which I had most fun with was my mage-tamer at Ultima Online :P. I had my own dragons :D

You mean on old official hb? Never heard of it:)

never released. but it was on the plans.

basicly u use taming on a monster and its your summon. can use commands on it. Monster size according to taming %

max taming % = chr*2

taming was a skill that never made it,

max taming(100%), would be for getting unis as summons

as far as i know it only worked with neutral units, and they were gona add some others so you could use it and raise it

OK as Taming was never really rleased, lets pack the ideas togheter to build a taming skill:

* Easy to add to general summon control system

* 50% skill should control ML monsters already.

* If we are going to create it, we should use it as a new class using chr

* Taming big monsters should be allowed when 100%. and i mean big as HC/TW/...

* Taming is also an easy Pit Luring Tool by accident (nice!)

* Training way? (not all ppl know how to use summon commands)

* Taming expiration Time = Normal Summon expiration time?

* If we mess this code, we will find the summon bug on the road. (post details if know)

That sounds really good to me maybe u could do another skill with that or add that in crafting or something(taming apart).

I like the idea, but having your own tw or hc is waaaaay overpowered :P, i would say max beast would be like uni or demon centaur, gg minotaur at the best!

I like the charisma requirement, gives room for new builds :)

what more summon commands are there then /tgt and /hold? O_o

/free

It might be overpowered but there can be 2 ways of taming:

1. You tame a mob just like u use summon creature now (it dies after X time), then a TW/HC isnt that overpowered (making use of the location)

2. You get some sort of pokeball and the mob u tamed gets in it, and u can call ur pokemon whenever/wherever u want. (now, this way HC/TW IS overpowered ;))

1. go to shop

2. load para

3. call tw/hc

4. wait 2 secs, blizz/crit

ek+1

repeat nr 2 and 4 untill fh ^^

Or even worse, party of 8 tamers. 8 tws :S

Let's not make this pokemon , but I got your message, and what u are pointing is true.

My idea on taming:

You'll be able to tame any monsters, but not take them with you to another map.

You cannot tame monsters in Apocalypse maps (Exceptions: Druncnian City and Maze)

Higher taming % would give more success rate to tame, once max is reached, you gain time bonus rather then success rate.

Monsters turn back to enemy state after their time is elapsed rather then die.

Summons made by a GM cannot be tamed.

Summons made by the enemy players can be tamed.

Tamed monsters tamed by the enemy can be re-tamed to your own side.

You cannot tame an abaddon, Wyvern, Fire-wyvern or any type of Dragon.

Taming Demon & Uni is reasonable success rate at 100% (as we got them in summoning potions !) while GG and higher monsters (hc & tw) success rate is very low.

Summons/Tamed monsters stay on your side for 5 minutes

Success Rate Table:

- Slime:         min 1%        max 21%
- Rabbit:         min 2%        max 22%
- Giant-Ant:         min 3%        max 23%
