Ty for unbanning me so I could distribute the drops from the abby. I feel better about that - players deserved recognition in a fair way. However, if you (farjat and pollerudos) had just not made a fuss over the drop system that I decided to use, and not insisted that I scam 10 people out of a chance at drops including one member of your staff MJ[GM] (because only 30 out of the 40 were present for the foodgame) - this wouldn't have happened. When I got banned we were having a discussion AS PLAYERS in BLUE CHAT. No GM was involved in the clearing of the abby maps, we did that as players. The ban was a complete surprise to me, and so I logged AceHigh to try to justify (which I shouldn't have in global). I feel that that was the ONLY mistake I made here apart from not doing what you wanted. Oldies once scammed an abby hunt I believe and got away with it, a drop leader gets to determine what happens with the drops. I decided to do a fair system that would FAIRLY get them out to the 40 people who killed abby. And I got banned for this. Ask yourself if you really want the kind of players who will willingly scam 1/4 of their hunt to help a few. I know there's no going back from this. I've given away all of my items and returned the ones I loaned from good friends, I won't be returning. I understand this is a dictatorship, but you and your *censored*ing whiny guild farjat that did not come to clear when I asked multiple times but instead just turned up for abby and felt they were entitled to have a cry when I didn't then food drops to just a small number of them because they were on when others were not. They don't deserve a thing, and even if i stayed, they'd never be coming again. I'm seriously pissed, and you've done this to your own server so you stay and enjoy it. Maybe go make HB banana because you're heading that way. The hunt was magic for server activity, for player fun, for guild strengthening on both sides and you ruined all of that with your petty griping (and, I must add, you ended up doing what i suggested anyway but retained my punishment) - You call me untrustworthy and ban my GM but you forget to remove my web access for hours (someone really untrustworthy would have used that opportunity to ban 300 accounts - but I didn't). You've earned the effect this will have on ares - but as you've always said, you enjoy a server with just you. I made a hard but fair decision that looked out for the interests of all players on the hunt (including pollerudos). Nobody was happy with the decision (KK and NS were crying at me for including you guys who turned up late uninvited but I told them that you deserved to be in the FG as you were there for the kill) and you guys were insinuating that I was adding players to the list from KK and NS even though I'd personally rather than NS nubs didn't win the items. It's a load of shit, and at least I feel in this post I'm earning my ban.

Gonna use the online FG system to calculate who wins the Dark Exec and MS30 wand (2 players will win). Ty to all for coming and ty for trusting me in this. and yeah events with items happen ocassionaly with good things ... 2-3 times a year??... how does that doenst make sense...? i mean it has always been like that in any decent server lol... Nah maynard there was 2 ABH rep 3's and then a zerk wand/GBH from the scav event in quick succession, so I understand his point. I don't really see it as a problem, but I understand where he's coming from.

For the final time, what drop rate is fair for top drop. How many abbys should a person have to kill to realistically get 1 rare (like xweapon)

What drop rate on abby do you feel is fair? For say the top level of drop?

Possibly, but tbh with the number of zerk wands/SB's dropping from hunts lately, the rates might be fair and on par with other server rare drops for time taken per player. I wouldn't be against a slight reduction though, I think 1/8 or 1/10 being a great drop would be fair. What is a fair rate do you think?

There's a 4/10 chance of getting COMPLETELY rubbish drops just based on 20 abby kills. The best you'll get then is a mass fire strike.

well i also would expect different from you.. i just cant belive abby dropped that and that it will still drop like that..... if you ask me it should have been changed asap. and if1/4 times a good drop is gona come , then we will have a new xel/kitem/hellfire every month.. it makes no sense ... and no this is no noob panic . I have been in several situations where ppl didnt see the obvious remember direction bows where they were first created ? .. tw 100% drop with the normal drop rate?... they were changed months after.. when there were 50+ xelimas, every1 had ms30, etc etc i see this happening in a few months if this doesnt get changed ( not that high numbers, but i would say there will be alot more of those items that ppl are supposed to get like once a year IF lucky) Well I don't disagree that the rates may be a bit high. But I don't think you can fairly determine that from one drop. I'm accepting that the drop last night is factoring a lot in your opinion. Also I honestly don't think it's going to go down weekly, not now (I'm trying to avoid that topic). If I ever get my GM back, I'll test 100 and get a really good indication of the rates so a decision can be made on the basis of good information (20 isn't really that many to test). However for the foreseeable future, that's not on the cards. I'd say depends on the rates. When I see an accurate droplist of around 100 kills then I'll be happy to comment.

I wouldn't count on it. The drops were tragic before and are appropriate now. I've done probably every abby kill here for the last couple of years. Tbh not many of you are in a position to question me on this.

TBH maynard you didn't even mention drops in your 5 posts in the thread when they were announced until Dark Exec and MS30 dropped in 1 drop. A good drop like that is only a 1/4 chance. See if people do it again, then see what drops, then build your comments on the basis of good information. I expect better from you than the usual noob panic.

I kind of get where milk is coming from tbh. Hero is so pathetic on mages that a lot of them won't even work for it. I know I don't (that's why I made a platemage, and got hero cape instead on my pure mage Eld0n). The key point is that it's not actually good enough to justify the loss in defence currently. Even aesthetically, it is a robe. I'd really support a hero chain that was either only SLIGHTLY higher than the robe, or that was the same def as BS chain (which is shit), as long as this is higher than the hero robe slightly. It'd get mages wearing hero so much more often.

I wouldn't really worry too much about 1 kill a week tbh :P

We got 2 good drops, what I'd consider 2 good, so that'd be a "cool" drop. I.e. 1/4

Only 5/20 will turn out like this, or 1/4 - so we got as lucky as we could on the number of good items dropping.

Massive ares numbers! This is why we don't get snuck up on much MaynarD :) Just below this wyv, are elvines! Waiting for MaynarD to get finished with Zako in minotaur pit. Nice spying cowbell! What's that PF? These are the fine individuals responsible for clearing the entire abby map (this is just as I arrived). Some final clearing going on! What's that Pornstar, 20 elvs just entered procella? :) As they entered DeepCut activated HP slate, guess he didn't realise there was no escape. Notice the pro bridge blockers, there is no escape! Poor Gamny, he fought so hard! Record victory!

Yeah not only that we had some epic fights with very skilled elvs and had to put a lot of weird strategies into place. It went a bit like this: Day 1: I lead, cleared infernia B and half of procella - vamp and rest of KK/NS finished off procella later that night. In infernia Gamny, WEIRDO, PinkLady, BiDam, K7, Alright and others raided us and were doing a great job of luring our 20 or so ares behind the wyvs then invising so wyvs would attack them while gamny crit etc. They killed quite a few that way then I pulled all ares back and forbid them to enter wyvs again, after that we scored a few kills and elvs stayed behind. However this was still an issue so we actually started killing the wyvs and working our way towards the elv position haha which required mass PFAing of wyvs and no luring (just had to kill them where they stood). Eventually we got close enough that we could defeat a couple, then as we killed the last wyv maze opened and elv beat us into there. In the maze we overtook many elv and ended up at procella first, we camped ent for a while waiting for MaynarD but he ended up hunting Minotaurs in maze with Zako as we double boxed procella ent. We waited about 20-30 mins trying to lure him in by saying stupid things in global before we started on master mage orcs (the best droppers in the map). We got a couple of baxes from procella but nothing really good. MaynarD eventually entered then got killed as we were /tgting him at regular intervals and we had ice sword, cancel and SB with us. K7 came in but kept logging for intervals of 3 mins till he just forced so we didn't get him. I went to bed and then woke up day 2. Day 2: Vampyr, KK and some NS cleared all of abby by themselves without me (I had some work to do all day) - I was called towards the end. As I arrived there were only about 6 creatures left (of the 100+ that start there). Our ares spies in IB/DC/Procella spotted a huge elv raid assembling in DC for us. We got names then kept a spy at procella ent waiting for them. When they hit procella ent I commanded all at abby ent to summon mass summons. We decided we'd use summons to tgt all the mages first and eliminate them. About 20 elvs came and I think we killed them all with that plan. We had 3 blockers on the bridge much like siege. We had cancel so could cancel pfa in safe, ice for mages when they left safe and the whole area filled with summons. Then after they died we had an attempt at abby, then Gamny raided us again and we had to give up on the abby and kill him. THen once he was dead we attacked it again, we were almost done when Gamny and about 3 other elvs arrived again. It died with 3 elvs around it and we had to stand all KK on the drop to avoid it getting scammed. THe legend that the dragon is still got on the drop and got some gold pieces (fortunately I was on the Dark Exec!). It was an awesome hunt, a record time (20 hours) a record turnout (20 people for clear mostly from KK and some from NS - and 40 for the abby itself), the kill was done with no pot run and with both mages and warriors bowing. I'm really proud of all ares, and really want to commend the elvs particularly gamny that kept dying to our overwhelming numbers/items and kept coming back to harass us anyway. Seriously it was a fantastic hunt and it was great for activity on nemesis. Screens will follow soon!

I've emailed white the names + instructions for running the FG. It's in farjats hands now though guys. I personally won't food rares to only 30 people when 40 came. Whites system works, and is a third party system - not a GM program. Anyway, ah well. I give you permission to remove the items from my account and distribute them as you see fit. I was just trying to do the right and fair thing.

I just like the independent system for foodgaming. It's too hard to get 40 people in one location so I'm taking advantage of a fair third party program that people trust.

Hahah you better believe I got those too :) I didn't get any eks though I think. I was too busy attempting to either ice or para/mim (I was on therapist - vamp eventually logged acehigh).

I keep my player and GM separate, I expect other players to do the same. To insinuate I am corrupt on my GM without any evidence I take offense at and thus I give warnings. This short 3-day forum ban was such a warning. He is welcome to make a GM abuse ticket if he feels I'm overstepping. Anyway, I had a good time on the hunt - I really enjoy pvp in the abaddon maps because it's very difficult for both sides. I got some great screens of our fight :)

Should have seen me screaming "DON'T CHASE THEM INTO THE WYVS FFS" It was hilarious clearing wyvs right beside you as we slowly pushed towards your position. yeah man there not much to do 3 vs 20+ with cancel + ice + xelima(?) anyway i will try my best everytime ican till i have no zems left (250+-) to go :P I lied about having X there, was trying to deter you. Seemed it wasn't needed though. And yeah, you had very little chance other than picking off newbs (or fools that ran into the wyvs). I'd say you did very well tbh - I almost got myself into trouble at one point there as well. We camped procella ent for like 30 mins waiting for you and those Zako guys to stop hunting minotaurs (we had a spy beside you the entire time - on an ares char I'll clarify) and to come in, but you just never did so we got on with hunting then eliminated you when you entered.
