It should stay the same speed, I believe. The only difference (I think) is whether or not you have 100% Magic skill. 0%-99% Magic = Slower casting 100% Magic = Faster casting

As I was saying to someone in the game the other day: Why do new players leave Aresden constantly? It's not just because of the large amount of Elvines raiding. It's because "Aresdens are jerks", "Aresdens never help anyone", "No one helped me in Aresden", etc. etc. etc. I've heard countless times that people in Aresden (and Elvine, too) aren't nice to new players, calling them "noob", yelling at them because they died to the enemy town, or just ignore them completely. Lesson here? Be nice, show them where Barracks is, maybe show them 1 pit to train in, and DON'T call them a "noob", DON'T yell at them for dying a lot, DON'T be an *censored*. Simple enough, right?

I agree about lowering time (30 seconds) and lowering range (2x2). It IS a really annoying spell, and really doesn't take much skill to cast it 2-3 spaces away from a war and hit everyone in it's range.

Normally it's supposed to be a little rarer than it is, I think. There's what, 2-3 in HB USA? We recently lowered SB drop rate, but I agree, it is a bit powerful. I'd love to see other people's opinions, so post away!

As most of you probably know, Helbreath just isn't a new game anymore. For this reason and several others, we're slowly losing players, and we're doing our best to bring more players to the game. For this reason, I want to ask a favor of the older players - be nice to the Newbies that come here. If you see another Goldy running around asking a bunch of "stupid" or "dumb" questions - be nice and answer them. You probably remember how it was when YOU first started HB, knowing absolutely nothing but just wanting to play. If you have time, just explain to them the different stats, and what builds are good for a newbie playing as a mage or warrior. If you don't have time, find someone in your guild who can help them, especially if they don't speak your 1st language. And for you guys working on Hero Sets...If you see a bunch of Goldies running around the enemy town, please don't kill them 50 times. Unless they actually fight you, be nice and just let them run by every once in a while. Getting killed 10 times in 1 hour is horrible, and makes them not want to play! So in all, please, just be nice. We all want more players, and being mean to them and/or killing the Newbies 50 times a day won't help us get more players! What do you mean, exactly? Is it bugged? The spell, the scroll?

To White - Would it be possible to create "special" WW/Ogre mobs that drop a maximum of, let's say, HP/MP21 armors? That way, they would still drop some statted items, but people wouldn't really want to create a bunch of characters just to hunt there. Also, another thought on that, people get kicked out at level 180 from barracks anyways, so max level characters couldn't stay in barracks to train forever. People would have to constantly create new characters and level them up in barracks to be able to hunt in peace, and knight armor really isn't the best thing to get hit by WW's and Ogres with.

Actually, I don't think much HAS been suggested to this issue. Usually someone asks for a wipe, then other people start flaming/agreeing, and the topic goes to crap. So...what do I suggest? Bring in a LOT of new people at one time, and BE PATIENT. Bringing in new people is great, but actually keeping them...that's the hard part. We need to be willing to teach them, NOT shit-talk them, not kill them 50 times, and show them safer places to train. There are plenty of maps in HB, and even though some pits are slower, they're much better for new players than pits like IG or Troll. Practice with them - take them on small hunts, take them to PVP practice in BI. Give them a few small items - Ogre Ring, Emerald Ring, etc. are nice for new players - gives them something to take care of. Overall, BE PATIENT! We were "noobs" at one point too, we just need to remember that and be patient with the new generation of newbies. Now all this is easier said than done, even for me, but if we all try to start acting a LITTLE bit nicer to the new players, it will go a long way.

But seriously, I'll do some for later on, too. I was just on early today so I decided to test the summon event system. ;)

I agree, it would be very nice to show "Full Swing Speed" rather than the "Weapon Speed". I wonder how difficult it would be to code...?
