    Game Update 26/12/2015

In our development process to increase performance of the game we stumbled upon a minor issue related to the mouse cursor. This update will resolve this problem and increase performance for the majority of players. We're still continuing our efforts to resolve the performance issues with large amounts of players and effects on the screen. Patch Notes: * Fixed: Some memory leaks related to Input Buffer and Dialogboxes. * Fixed: Large FPS Drop when drawing Cursor.

    Banana Gone?

Banana was closed (and so is Golden Era). It is now replaced/reborn as Nemesis Guilds which is inbetween banana and golden era in terms of exp and drop rates. You can use the same account from banana and create character on the new server.

    Game Update 09/12/2015

Today we've made some additions and bug fixes to the game. Most importantly we've made a major change to Capes. Capes can now be reduced in Endurance by both physical and magical hits (and thus can also be stripped). For this reason we have compensated and increased capes endurance from 300 to 1000. With this change we have also enabled PA capes. It is however important to note that capes will only lose endurance from physical hits when directly hit in the back or the tile left/right (from "directly in the back"). Thus at any time there are 3 hit-spots from which a cape will absorb damage and can take endurance loss. (For magical spells it always applies, AB/ESW will break capes regardless of casting direction as this is an area-of-effect anyway) Another major change we've made is regarding the usage of Slates. Whenever a map forbids the usage of slates your slate effect will be disabled (below your feet) BUT will keep counting down in time (can be seen when using buff icons). In effect this will prevent the usage of slates activated outside of pvp tournaments and the effect being taken inside. As an extension to this, we have also disabled/forbidden usage of HP slates during crusades and heldenians. This means that, during sade or held, your slate effect will be disabled in Middleland and Heldenian Castle (but will remaing/become active in any other map outside of the mentioned ones or when sade/held is not active). Although it's disabled and you WILL take damage, your counter still continues to count down. Patch Notes: * Added: CTRL+P now also works in F9 Chat History Dialog. * Added: Capes PA stat is now active and added when hit directly from the back or the tile left/right of it. * Added: Capes can now be stripped when hit directly from the back or the tile left/right of it. * Added: Capes now lose endurance when hit directly from the back or the tile left/right of it. * Changed: HP/MP/Zerk Slate effects no longer apply when their map restriction is disabled. (Timer still counts down, effect is restored when entering a map where it is allowed) * Changed: Tamed monsters will now regen back to full health when breaking free from their tamer. * Changed: Clothing can now be properly statted and upgraded (using Stone of Merien) * Fixed: Dark Mage Leggings W/M were missing from Armor Gender Change List. * Fixed: One-Team Tournament Fights Winner declaration failed. * Fixed: Display bug (title) with preliminary round fight list. * Fixed: Observers could see auras during pvp tournaments. * Fixed: Tamed Ice-Golems can now properly damage one another or any other monsters.

No, this was only regarding trousers, shirts and other clothing. DK Robe is not considered clothing (it's in the armor category).
  7. Today we've launched the official Nemesis Guilds Beta server. The purpose is to find and resolve any remaining bugs before the official opening ! Old characters have been added to the game for you to use for play-testing in this beta server. Please report any bugs to GMs/admins, through the ticket system or here in the forums so we can resolve any issues before launch. Recent changes since latest Game Update are as following: Fixed/Changed/Balancing: - Adjusted exp rates too mid-rate server settings - Adjusted barracks to max level 140/160 (to be decided) - Balanced Beholder Drop Rate -- Too many powerful manuals entered in Banana too early - Adjusted Utility Skills Formula to be between the old Golden Era and Banana training speed. -- Taming, Enchanting and Salvaging were too easy in Banana and created unbalance, making them more difficult should balance them out accordingly and still keep them worthwhile to train. - Corpse Potions are now applied upon death of the monster (if the killer has the active buff). - Items upgraded with Merien stone that fail upgrading and are saved by Stone of Kloness didn't have their maximum endurance reset. - Hero Cape +1 could not be upgraded (was still in the force-no-upgrade list) - Duplicate DK items will now always deplete the lowest upgraded item. - Adjusted crafting difficulty to match better to the drop rate of items -- Done to prevent devaluation of DM, MS, RM, DF necklaces compared to Liche, Stone Golem, Merien and others. New Features/Items/Functionality: - Preliminary Round for PvP Tournaments - Repeatability of PvP tournaments (so we can schedule daily/weekly/monthly tournaments !) - GUILD ITEMS - Items bound to guilds that cannot leave guilds. - Guild Item Quests - Expansion of the Quest System to allow creation (by admins) of guild quests that can reward guild items and could require the payment of GCP (guild contri) - Item Chests - Armor, Weapon (100% guaranteed randomly statted item) and Rare (based on monster item-drop rate, so not 100% chance!) item boxes that have a chance to reward items -- These boxes can be given out by GMs, Quests, Tournaments, Events as rewards or sold in the cash shop (for those who like to gamble for their Medusa) - New Item (with new graphics!): Kloness Hammer (Drops from Unicorn, 55% Armor Strip Rate) - New Guard NPCs (Sword, Bow, Axe) -- needs to be summoned by a GM, they might be added/replacing some of the existing guards at the tele pads. Upcoming changes on next beta patch: - Removal of Safe Zones in Middleland, Dungeons, ToH and Icebound - Replaced Teleportation to danger-zones (from which we remove safe zones) from a single-spawn-spot to a random-spawn-area (prevents boxing/camping spawn locations)

    Game Update 12/12/2014

Today marks the update for Christmas time ! With the holidays not that far away we like to put nemesis in a Christmas costume and bring some enjoyable festive holiday content to you! Starting from the 15th of December 00:00 and lasting until the 15th of January 23:59 we bring you the following x-mas holiday stuff For Golden Era we have the return of Santa's Workshop with some minor adjustments compared to last year. Light Bulbs will be tradeable and traded bulbs will count towards your collection! The secret santa sequence has been made shorter for convenience. Christmas without colors wouldn't be christmas, that's why the rudolphs in santa's workshop have a chance to spawn with a rank from Veteran to Legendary to make it look very colorful over there :) We haven't forgotten about the reward ofcrouse! - As we had Santa's Cape last year, we're adding a new item piece for this year! Join in with the festive decoration holiday quests and grab a pair of Santa boots with Polka dots for yourself! - The FIRST completer of the quest will be able to choose either HP7% or MP7% santa boots :o So hurry up and collect those lightbulbs ;) PvP is also an important aspect, so every hour the pvp mode will switch from off to on or on to off, check the setting using /mapinfo -> Attack Restrictions -> PvP Mode For Banana we are bringing the first festive holiday event, with some stuff the same as golden era, you'd sure don't want to miss out on this opportunity in banana either! Almost everything is the same as from the Golden Era with tradeable bulbs, pvp mode changing, etc etc... Except for the reward which will bring you a Santa Cape instead of Santa Boots. We've also thought about the first completer, and he can get a whopping HP21% or MP21% santa cape, so go go go! you're already one light bulb behind ;) ----- Also keep an eye on our cash shop as we'll bring you festive discounts for the holidays as well as some festive awesome looking items ! Or... if you're lucky... you might find one of the new special treats as an event reward ;) ----- Patch Notes: * Added: X-mas 2014 - 1h PvP-mode change interval on xmasworkshop - ranked monsters in xmasworkshop * Fixed: Hat & Cap Salvaging/Enchanting display of "cannot be salvaged/enchanted" * Fixed: Manufactured color transition when upgrading DK armors to +15

    Game Update 12/12/2014

Seem you fixed the manu berks.... whooptie doo. It's true that the majority of that list isn't implemented or fixed yet. Part of it is still under discussion and other parts take much more time to develop. Also if you noticed, there was a period of Holidays like Christmas and New Year, most people celebrate these days and so do I... that's why development has been stalled for the past month. You're talking about it being broken "months" later... we're exactly... well, less than 1 month later since you reported the issues... that one month, not monthS :)

    Game Update 12/12/2014

It's true, neither me or Farjat have great experience in PvP. that is exactly why we have staff like KenZo and The Dragon who have great experience in PvP'ing and extensive & recent in-game experience from playing and being part of the community. Their advice, as well as the advice of all other staff members, is taken into account and their voices have a great weight in the decision making of what'll be added, removed or changed in the game. Pullers are indeed a problem, we have insufficient staff to monitor every corner of the game 24/7 for possible pullers. That's exactly why we have 2 very important features in place, one being the anti-puller system in-game which will keep anyone who pullers an additional 20 seconds in-game after actually pulling the plug. Perhaps this 20 seconds isn't sufficient or perhaps too much, that's exactly why we like to hear your voice and your opinion and idea about it, but if you're not telling us that 20 secs is not enough, is too much we wouldn't know. The second feature is the ticket system, catch them on-tape or have a GM monitor it and simply report it in our ticket system, it is by far the BEST way to reach the ENTIRE staff of both banana AND the golden era! Use it and we ensure you get a response from us. We've seen many people complain about the issue, but zero reports in our ticket inbox... Reporting is important, the more people that report the same bug abuser or cheater, the better we can judge the logs and facts recorded on video. If we were hungry for cash, we would sell permanent devastators in our cash shop for 10k USD and people would buy them... Luckely we're not doing that, and here is just a single fact about a "buyer"... I'll let that image speak for itself... We do NOT tollerate rule breaking and ban people REGARDLESS of how much money they've spent in our cash shop. Buying does not make you immune to the rules.

    Auction House In Banana

The consideration was made prior to opening the Banana server. As admins we have concluded that the risk of hosting an auction house for Banana is too high due to the increased likely hood of untrustworthy buyers of our services. In Golden Era the auction house mostly serves the purpose of the "middle man" where we provide a secure and trustworthy system to make item sales, the risk is ours and for Golden Era the risk is far less than for Banana due to the more trustworthy community of Golden Era.

    Game Update 12/12/2014

That's the purpose of IE necks, less rare than earths as the spell is far more common. But that shouldn't result in the rarer neck to be OP and fully block the power of the rare spell. If both necks would simply take away the "side effects" then only DMG remains, and comparing blizz to ESW dmg against its rarity would result in blizz being OP compared to ESW as ESW is such a rare spell and damage-wise is only slightly better than blizzard. A 25/50% (pro/ele) resist against SP and AB for earth necks would be far less OP than a 50/100% or a "none"/100% (ice pro/ele).
  18. WhiteFang

    Game Update 12/12/2014

Earth necks: both AB and SP resist are OP compared to ice neck, efreet or air neck given that IE resists freeze and efreet/air doesn't resist anything, they just reduce their specific elements. combine an earth ele with ma 80% set and mages can't hurt you at all because AB the ma set is impossible now. Or swap it for a massive MR set and you'll never be hit, yet mages can't do anything against you. This renders mages totally useless against such players. About the speeder, yeah sure... if your neighbour is stealing and you tell it to the police, they'll ask for evidence... and you're just refusing to install a camera, so can't deliver evidence... so you can't get your neighbour arrested either. We have anti-speeding and speed detection methods, but as I said before, we're a passive law enforcement as we don't have the resource for an active law enforcement who looks for speeders and scammers and ek lamers and rule breakers all at the same time. If the community puts some effort to provide more solid evidence or just get a GM to witness it, then that helps in bringing justice, otherwise it becomes very hard to catch the rule breakers. Corpse Bug: ok, that explains it. It is an issue which also existed in neme2 but in a much lower frequency. Likely there is an issue where one creature dies and respawns using the same slot in the global creature array. I'll take a look into it, but it's not a high priority issue as it's not game breaking. (just annoying)

    Game Update 12/12/2014

Hauberk W: this issue will be resolved in the next reboot (scheduled on Friday) or next game update. Ettin camp/stalkers den: The balancing is still being worked on, additional code is required to balance these maps into the game. A balance for them is expected mid January 2015. Earth pro/ele neck: These necklaces reduce damage and are indeed rather "incomplete" and we feel community feedback is required to finish off the necklaces and decide on having a reduced SP drain or a reduced AB effect (lose less endu). If you have feedback or a suggestion regarding it, we'll gladly listen and take a look into the possibilities. Koreans/args using speeders: Speeders aren't allowed, if you can capture one on video or have a GM attend a speeding in progress, we'll make sure his speeding ticket for going over the maximum allowed speed arrives very fast. We, as staff, do not actively scout the game to find speeders, so reporting them is an important first step! - if you get robbed and don't report it to the cops, nothing will happen, same goes in Nemesis, if there's an issue, just report it through our support ticket system and we'll look into it. Corpse bug: That's a broad term, if you could be specific about what kind of "corpse bug" it is and possibly how to reproduce it, then we could take a look into it and resolve the issue. People are allowed to scam: No, people aren't allowed... yet again, we're not actively looking for scammers, thus reporting them is important so we notice and look into the issue. -- Also a reminder: when people suggest 3-way trade (trade DM+5 for GiS crit5 with person A to then trade GiS crit5 for a GBH with person B is a VERY BAD DEAL and should NEVER be done! I've seen people attempt such scams and you should use your common knowledge and not fall for tricks like that. We CANNOT and will not prevent or fix your own stupidity! It's been an issue for weeks: Okay, that can happen, and we're sorry for your trouble... but once more, without reporting it to us, we would not be aware of the issues. We test as much of the features we add as we can, yet our testing resources are limited as most testing requires an extensive amount of people to test, which we do not have available and when asking the community to help out, only a hand full of loyal and great testers show up... the other 195 players just keep doing their thing and complain all day that there are bugs. We're not afraid to admit there are bugs, because we know there are... but if we find one, we smash it with a GBH so it dies, and stays dead! :) The plus DMG: this is indeed an issue that's been in for some time, we looked into it in the past and will look into in again in the near future, but it doesn't have a high priority compared to other issues.

    Transfer Characters To Banana?

Password recovery works fine, but keep in mind that the Golden Era succeeded Nemesis 2 in August 2013. If you haven't place since then, you likely don't even have an account left to play as with the transition everything was cleared (including accounts). If you do however have an account, but cannot remember, feel free to make a second account (yes you can use the same e-mail address for multiple accounts) and send us a ticket via the support system at our website, we have far more tools through that system available to help you much faster than via the forums, facebook or whatsapp. Eventually, jump into TS and have a chat with us if you're really desperate and can't figure it out. As mentioned, we've made a reset, so there are no "details" to be sent to old players. We did do "agressive" facebook advertising and bulk-mailing to 100-thousand e-mail addresses collected over the years of Nemesis, yet few e-mail addresses really exist (or still exist) and others don't feel like coming back dispite bonuses, promotations or starter packs being given out. True, the process of getting to play has evolved and becomes much more advanced, and more secure over the past few years. It can be a pain in the *censored* to get it going. But once again, the support button is right there on our website, you can easily contact us through there, or even give us a shout by facebook, whatsapp or teamspeak if you're in need. We usually arrange team-viewer sessions and do the full blown installation to get you going and ready to play. The steps to play are easy, 1. obtain .NET framework 4.0, 2. obtain our auto updater, 3. run the auto updater (and click play now) and you're actually done... 3 easy steps :) -- Step 1 is usually the hardest, but even for thatone we provide the auto updater SETUP which should download .NET 4.0 for you, install it as well as install the auto updater for you. In most machines .NET 4.0 should be installed if all windows updates are done, it is supposed to be a default package that's included in windows these days.

    Several Suggestions

    1. Skinning works like that the same way as it does for the majority of skills. Salvaging & enchanting are the exception to the rule on this since multiple components can succeed or fail all together. Perhaps an adjustment there is needed to not gain a skill progression point when all fails, but only gain one if at least 1 succeeded. It is a known fact that the newer skills (taming, skinning, salv, enchant) tend to be more difficult at the "start" of a monster/item and progressively become easier as you gain skill %. Similar, but perhaps not so harsh, curves of difficulty are used throughout fishing, mining and manufacturing. We simply extended that with new formula calculations for the new skills. 2. You're right on that, this should be fixed and the color of manued items should carry over upon upgrading with a look-change for the armor pieces. If you have a manued piece +15, please make a ticket and we can adjust the color on hand. 3. Assist system for EKs is something I have been thinking about or considering for quite a while. It only seems fair that assisting in EKs is somehow rewarded. The difficulty on such assisting system is properly measuring how much assist points you'd earn as well as a proper assist to EK ratio. There are a huge number of factors to be taken into account and you name some of them and have a good starting point on how to measure them. Although time is not always a proper measurement tool as a player could be hit on second 1, run away, escape the fight and perhaps recall and then end up in town in a second fight on second 45 which he might not be able to escape and dies on second 59... in that way you'd still get an assist point for something you didn't actually assist that much on... you helped perhaps 0.01% of the kill with your hit (which the player by that time likely recovered from with an auto-regen). The craziest situations can occur and need to be anticipated to make a proper balance in the ratio. Perhaps a bigger assist to EK ratio could help in this when a player would get 1 assist point in such a crazy situation as I just described... In that case the 1 assist point would be justified if you'd need 100 (or maybe more?) assist points to get 1 EK. In a similar way this can be extended much further into the game where drops are "owned" by the person who pick the item who's likely also the last killer... this brings difficulties such as drop-jumpers or people who find rares and a FG must be organized to determine who is actually the owner of the item. If a proper calculations for how much you assisted in a certain kill is established, such calculation could be used in a way to establish an ek-assist system, but also to establish a drop distribution system to determine how much effort you've put into killing a certain mob which can be reflected to much how of the drop you'd "own". I've already put some thought into such system and it could be as simple as if you meet a certain threshold (e.g. deal atleast 1% damage) you're entitled to part of a drop where certain items would be split into item-shards and you'd get part of the shards. For example 2 ppl kill zombie, it drops dusa, you'd both hit 1% or more of the dmg, you both entitled for drop, so 2 ppl for drop, 1 item = 120 shards so that be 60 shards each. Once you collect 120 shards, you'd be able to trade it in for the real item.
